| Ok, i've watched and read all comments but my point is... is Toriko about food? It seemed pretty bad judging from this special... ._. And they wanted to use One Piece fame to drag fans over Toriko... in my opinion, it's having the opposite effect XD |

| Well just saw the first ep with the OP crossover and i have a mixed feeling about this one, feels like i could only say "meh" to represent this first episode for now. I mean the crossover was kinda funny and it was really nice to see the Straw Hat Crew do something else and have some spare time to fool around but at the end it felt like i nearly only enjoyed the OP part in this Toriko episode. Yeah now we know why they chose Toriko and Luffy to unite because of their monstrous appetite and yeah he looks kinda cool, strong and all but i thought his style of attacks were kinda lame. This and his strange buddies with their weird powers, especially the Rainbow haired dude with his purple... stuff. I don't know i felt like they desperately needed more of a charisma feeling or something. Sadly the whole story of Toriko going all around the world to taste all the ingredients in the world and a make a super awesome full course didn't make me go "OH SHI- NOW THIS IS SOME CRAZY ADVENTURE U GOTTA SEE IT !!11!!" but just said instead "yeah ok why not" It's just that i don't see how you could make a 100+ eps long adventure i guess and have some impressive plot twist and stuff. Soooo in the end i dunno if i'm gonna continue this one and grant him a second chance or not, i just hope there's more to the story later. Gonna leave it on hold for some time while i catch back and end other ones and only then maybe see the other eps of Toriko one day or another... :/ |

| Well this got mixed in my One piece viewing collection.. so I might as well add this to my anime list.. Its surprising that their first episode was with a collaboration with a well known anime.. Toriko and One Piece are a totally different genre.. Toriko is like cross between the character design of Saint Seiya and animal hunting of Pokemon with cooking of Chūka Ichiban rolled into one haha One piece half was hilarious as expect and Toriko combined with Luffy is a bad combo.. they'll literally starve the world planet haha |

| What a strange anime Toriko is xD I haven't watched OP, but it's humous seems to be on some quite good level, I'll probably watch it one day :D Anyway, I can't comment much on Toriko, because of the weird content and partially because of the OP part. I guess I must see more of Toriko before I try to talk about it(yeah, I haven't read the manga). |

| Oh, this was horrible! Is Toriko's target demographic six year old kids!? Generic and repetitive characters, huge chunks of pointless exposition, a plot with no tension, humor or intrigue. I kept checking the progress bar of the video player, hoping that the episode was almost done. The entire series is about a dude's search for his fave foods? Can you imagine an entire series about Sanji's search for All Blue? It kind of makes me mad that they're trying to use OP's success to launch this BS. |
| For a first episode, the QUALITY was terrible. I know that this is shounen, but come on, they could have at least made the first episode good. Hopefully the rest ain't THIS bad.. Can't judge the story too much, since this was just a crossover. |

But that's just confusing, considering that the second half is a direct continuation.. |

| I just watched what it said was the first episode but it wasn't the One Piece collaboration ... it must have been the first normal episode ... do I have to watch the one with One Piece? I mean ... I get what's going on without seeing that one. I used to watch One Piece when it was on TV here but haven't seen it in years and seems like it'd take forever to catch up now. |

| Pretty sure that was one of the worst first episodes I've ever seen (the one piece crossover). I really wish I never watched that and started from episode 2. I guess the only audience they were going for were one piece fans? The introduction to the story / character(s) etc were completely ruined, I actually want nothing to do with this show after watching that. |

| its a funny anime I know a lot of people are comparing it to one piece. But for some odd reason it makes me think of dragon ball z,intial d (in some of the art) plus the annoying lil sidekick is a lil familiar to someone in initial D. |
