<Good> I feel the potential from this, and with ufotable making the adaptation it's even more like it. I'm in.

I have always wondered why does none of Junji Ito's manga have anime adaptation. Few of them have live action, but no anime... until now. Gyo is not his best work but I am still looking forward to seeing this, especially knowing that it's being made by ufotable.

I still would prefer Uzumaki to be animated, but I'm not complaining much since the anime world needs more whore... I mean horror!!!

Wow, I just had a look at the manga yesterday thinking "This looks pretty cool. Kind of weird it hasn't been adapted into an anime yet though.". And look at that, it got an adaption the day afterwards!
Definitely going to watch this. I'm looking forward to it.

I have to admit that I'm pretty excited about this, even though Gyo is my least favourite manga by Junji Ito. The story was either strangely hilarious or too silly to be scary, but it was a decent read in the end. Still, I really hope ufotable won't censor the living hell out of it. So yes, looking forward to see it no matter what.
It's an OVA, and OVAs allow for the most creative freedom in terms of mature content, so they probably chose an OVA format for the sole purpose of not having to censor it.

I might as well check this out myself when it comes out.

OMFG, great news. Now we need only anime adaption of Uzumaki. That would be even 100 times more epic.

I'm only concerned that it won't be a full adaptation.

Yeah, I would have preferred Uzumaki, too...but I don't really mind that Gyo is getting animated. I thought it was a pretty entertaining horror manga :) (really gross, though, lol)

Meh I hope they fix the ending, Ito gets really lazy with his endings it's like he just gets stick of the manga and just tries to end it quickly as possible.
It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die.

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

Implying that Kara no Kyoukai was actually a horror?

I hope to god this anime is an actual horror, because I have never seen such a thing in anime before. I suppose I just downloaded the Uzumaki manga awhile ago, I'll give it a shot and see how good the author is.

Invasion of the robot dead fish? After that it starts sounding like a pretty legitimate horror title, but I can't help but wonder why that was the route chosen to get there...

Just read the synopsis here on MAL and it sounds like an anime/manga the Sci-Fi channel decided to make. Seriously, undead fish? I don't want to judge it until I see it, but that sounds incredibly stupid. Since everyone else is hyped about it, I'll give it a try anyways. I get swept away by the current too easily..

Uzumaki would have been a much better choice but, even though I didn't like Gyo that much, I'm still extremely hyped for this.

You will be hallucinating monstrous, rotted fish with deadly, mechanic legs in every corner you look after you've watched Gyo. Seriously, Ito Junji is a beast with horror. But there's always someone who just find his works plain ridiculous.

I guess I'll have to wait and see; I was skeptical about Madoka Magica this season and it's turned into my favorite. And I've never really seen an amazing horror anime, so hopefully this will be good. If it's an OVA I'm wondering how long it's going to be. It'll suck if they do this like Mirai Nikki.
