| I thought it would be cool to see who is most compatible with you on the site. Would be an excellent way to make friends with similar interests. I think the way it shows up in their profile now is fine however. Either way, I wouldn't mind if they implemented your idea even though it wouldn't really change much. |

| You could have to top 5 users you are compatible with on your panel. It would take some effort to make the list, so maybe only update it like once a week or somthing, but I think it would be a cool way to meet people with similar taste, and get ideas for shows you havn't seen yet. |

| I know that mal once had this but could it PLEASE be bought back!! It would definately really help in finding people who enjoy the same anime/manga and enable recommendations! Anyone also wanting this comment here!! As there is a new mal layout etc ... maybe this can be the next big project? |

| IIRC, this was removed because it put a heavy load on the servers. Maybe some time in the future when everyting is optimized or super-computers are bought we'll get it back. . . |

| I don't know if this was mentioned before and couldn't find it if it's available now, but I think it would be a convenient way to find like-minded people! Maybe make the Users search optionally more advanced, with more customizable fields, one of which could be anime/manga compatibility. Another could be percentage of shared "favorites," but that'd probably be too weird to implement. |

Note: Keep in mind that with overwhelming support most of the above rejected suggestions would have a chance at being implemented. However, being on this list means that they have been turned down numerous times before. I also think that it would be very convenient to have a anime compatibility search option. That would be very helpful to find people here with a (very) high compatibility. If it was too taxing for the server, why don't you limit the option then? Like each member is only allowed to search on compatibility once in a (few) day(s). You could also add that no more then x members may use that function at the smae time. I think that if you use these limitations the server should be able to handle it, without slowing down the other parts of the site. (saving bandwidth likewise) |

| I think it'd be cool if you could make it so that there would be a member search based on the ratings you gave to anime to find people with compatible lists. I'm not sure how that would work but in general instead of having to check everyone's profile to see how your lists compare, it would find people with similar interests as you. |
| Sorry if this has been addressed in another thread already. And if this feature is already available, please tell me know how to use it! When you visit somebody's profile, it shows your anime/manga compatibility by percent. When I happen across someone that has a high compatibility with me, I'll snoop through their lists. I figure that if we have similar tastes, I can get some good ideas for new stuff to watch/read. There's already a feature where you can search for people randomly ( http://myanimelist.net/users.php ). I'd like it if there was a feature to search for people with high compatibility. That would make it easier to find new material. |
