There aren't many shows where I can't watch it in japanese audio, though I guess the closest one would have to be Pokemon. I finished rewatching it about six months ago (the first 276 episodes) in english, but watched the few banned episodes, that weren't dubbed, in japanese since I didn't want to skip anything. I just couldn't enjoy them the same. Especially since most of the Pokemon's name were changed for the dub. I grew up with knowing their english names, it was confusing and weird. Lol.

Other than that, there isn't anything that I can't watch in japanese. The closest two after Pokemon would be Baccano! and Cowboy Bebop. Their dubs are just so fantastic that I can't imagine not watching them in english. Those three would be it. There are a few more where I prefer the dub, but the japanese is just as good and I can't really say I "can't" watch them in japanese, I just don't.

Mainly all the anime shows I watched when I was a child. I simply can't start watching them in Japanese now, after all these years.

-Detective Conan
-Ganbare Kickers!
-Pokemon
-Digimon
-Azumanga Daioh

I've tried watching Pokemon in Japanese. It felt especially weird hearing Ash's/Satoshi's voice.

Cowboy Bebop, Baccano!, Big Windup!, Fullmetal Alchemist, Wolf's Rain, Black Lagoon, Pokemon and Code Geass are some of the best examples I can think of. Just doesn't sound as good as the dub to me.

If I had to watch them in Japanese, I would, but I do have trouble watching Pokemon, Kodocha, and Baccano! in Japanese just by how awesome the dubs were to me. Pokemon I guess is because it's a big part of my childhood, Kodocha because I watched most of it dubbed to begin with and just totally loved Sana and Akito's VAs, and Baccano! I was interested in because of the awesome use of accents.

I think shows like that really make me stand on the fence about dubs compared to how I used to be. I still tend to watch subs over dubs, but every now and then there's a dub I'm dying to try and I wind up falling in love with it. I'm much more open minded about the whole dub thing now and really appreciate the work that goes into them.

Baccano has a better dub than sub, but the sub is still pretty good. dragon ball and dragonball z are definitely better in dub (considering goku sounds like a radio trying to find a station but only getting static in Japanese), ummm chobits, and raxephon.

I guess I could watch all the ones I like in Japanese. But I prefer Death Note and FMA dubbed.
FMA because it's actually a quality dub. Death Note for no real reason.

I can watch all of them in Japanese, it´s the real thing after all. But reading subs can suck sometimes, because it distracts from enjoying the artwork. And it is irritating to have to pause or rewind constantly to get it all - best example would be Excel where main character is ranting at 10 words a second the whole time (which is hilarious and impressing at the same time, awesome seiyu).

Elfen Lied is the only one which I don´t like in japanese. The german dub is far better and the voices fit the personalities of the characters (usually I hate anything dubbed, german dub´s are really bad).

death note, maily due to the fact i read some of the manga first then started watching the anime in dub, and it was spot how i imagined it to be, it kinda scared me actually, and i havent looked back since at the original. Also Cowboy Bebop, Baccono I also recently saw gurren lagann and code geass in dub after i had seen the origianl and really liked them both too. Iactually watch a great deal of anime, either for sub or dub, i dont have a preference for them for anime as a whole

Desert Punk is probably the best example for me. Same goes for fma, dragon ball z, most any anime I watched originally in english....

Also elemental gelade gets a mention. I like the supporting cast in Japanese better, but the main cast in english is a bit better (especially ren). I can stand the japanese, but I will always watch it in english first.

I see alot of people saying code geass, for whatever reason i watched it in the first season with the dub then watched 2nd season in sub.
Now whenever i feel the urge to watch an episode from either series, s1 has to tbe the dub and s2 as to be the sub. No effing clue why.

Princess Mononoke is the only anime where I prefer the dubbed (in my case german) version. But that's mainly because I had already seen the movie a dozen times dubbed and just got used to it before ever watching the original version. It also helps that the dub is pretty good (as most movies tend to have better dubs then TV series)

Surprised at some people saying Code Geass, I've only ver watched that in Japanese and I though the voice acting was very good.

Is it worth watching it again in English?

There probably isnt one that i absolutely cant watch in Japanese but the one that came close but left me with no other choice since it isnt dubbed was The Tatami Galaxy. since i dont speak Japanese its extremely difficult to read as fast as the main protag thinks. i probably paused the series hundreds of times just to read the subs lol. but it was a masterpiece overall.

edit - probably wouldnt enjoy watching Baccano! or Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom in Japanese since the setting is America.

Id say it is worth watching in English. it was probably the anime that made Johnny Yong Bosch one of my favorite voice actors.

The only anime I haven't watch in Japanese were Cowboy Bebop and Paranoia Agent. Trigun, I am re-watching in Japanese because the movie is ditching the entire original dub cast(except for JYB) so I rather get used to the Japanese cast than Funimation regulars.

YuYu Hakusho. Definitely.

Kuwabara's voice is spot on in the English, and Kurama doesn't sound like a woman in the English.
