| Rewatching some episodes since the latest one was pretty painful due to Excalibur.... Really did enjoy this episode though. Gave good focus to this pair and especially gave Black Star more depth. Kind of like his fighting, but when its a serious time he can cut the nonsense. Knew that this fight meant something important to Tsubaki and didn't force her to tell him what her connection to this opponent was. He trusts her and that's a good enough reason to give all he could. Could understand better why he is such a loud guy. In a sense trying to overcome the terrible reputation his family has. But ouch Speed Star + Rain is painful. The statue got revenge for BlackStar jumping around on it earlier :). |
| I thought it was a really good episode~ Black Star's past seemed really harsh and it was sweet how Tsubaki cares so much for him. And in return - even though he is an arrogant annoying punk at times - Black Star cares for Tsubaki and shows it subtley through his "big" self xD Can't wait to see Tsubaki's fight with her brother~ FlareKnight said: But ouch Speed Star + Rain is painful. | That almost made me cry, it was a such a good episode. I love Tsubaki and Black Star's relationship so much, this is good. Can't wait for another Death the Kid episode either. |

| I had a feeling that Masamune was Tsubaki's brother. Also, Black Star is such a Naruto rip-off...they both look/sound/act stupid, love themselves too much, they're both strong when it matters and they both grew up with no parents, hated by those around them. 8| |

| I find Tsubaki's character to be a bit dull at the moment, but I really like Black Star in spite of finding his character archetype to be intolerable in other anime (like Naruto). I'd go as far to say he's my favourite male main character thus far. I'm liking the direction 'Soul Eater' is going in, and I'm looking forward to watching more tomorrow. I give it an 8/10 for now. |

| Black Star and Tsubaki had a really great team work in this episode, especially when Black Star is being a serious badass and using Tsubaki effectively fighting against this soul-possessing awesome black katana weapon who turns out to be Tsubaki's brother?! NANI!?!?!? It's really interesting that Black Star had this kind of backstory which Tsubaki could relate to in some way since her brother is a killer. Black Star has to take the shit that people throw at him just because he's part of the Star clan, that's annoying. |

| I like Black Star a lot as a character and his relationship with Tsubaki is great. It's admirable how mature he was in dealing with all that unfair hate towards him because of him being a part of the infamous Star Clan even though he didn't live long enough to take part in their atrocities himself. Go, Tsubaki! |
