| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well it’s finally in and looks like everyone is working fine in groups towards the festival except Chiba looks to have issues again from the way she went towards Shuichi. Chiba indeed has much more issues than I though from her anger management through washing to her “Let everybody die except me and Shuichi” There were some rather interesting developments towards Shuichi, Makoto and Yoshino with minor ones of Anna and Chizuru. I had TBH and say I laughed out so much I had to rewind the following,  this guy is too funny to think the way he does in regards to cute. Best laughing part for me. About Chiba Saori, Starting at the famous gathering at her place I observe that she has a coping skill of washing around the house even there is nothing to wash. I am wondering if it’s some kind of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) something done on a regular basis that may be triggered by something and in so I wonder if it’s triggered by her frustrations/anger. Chiba does look worried about the whole Juliet/Romeo choosing most likely because she wants to be Romeo and Shuichi Juliet. In Makoto mentioning to her about the voting her aggressive stance threaten him to vote for her. Sounds like serious desperation to amount to this method. Comes her friend with the glasses that had boldness to declare himself as her boyfriend. Chiba did present him Shuichi with her phone but I am not sure if she also declared she loves him to her friend. One thing is for sure is that she does not go to Church a lot since he says so. During the fireworks it is clearly foreseeable that Chiba was the only one that was sad and even later on during the same event she stays sad while Yoshino/Shuichi started to have some fun. Although she did win the Romeo role prompting Sasa so congratulate her, things went sour for her on the Juliet side with Makoto having that role. Comes the most interesting part about Chiba while being near a window in school she clearly voiced out hating spineless people. Now I am baffled whether she sees Makoto as giving up his role too fast or just doing it for her sake. It looks to me like both sides although I am pretty sure she would want Shuichi to be Juliet for her sake. Chiba knew that Makoto was not speaking out his mind until he does but by then her attitude to something worrisome along the lines ”You should dispatch the world” and comes her destructive thinking. With a angry tone, she wants all the cast to be killed off. Rather nasty selfish destructive thinking. If that was not enough, she runs down the stairs admitting of being depressive and having no friends while all of that is BS. She has Sasa and Makoto considers himself her friend. Only thing I see in that is bottled up frustrations and anger blowing ski high out of proportion. Killing off the whole word is a big deal in a realistic show like this. Comes the scene she makes that surprised Momo and Chizuru, that of changing the script suddenly. Even the teacher could not believe it how unreasonable it impaired her own reasoning all of that bottled up feelings. So comes the confession of why, Chiba while being with Shuichi declares the others fault that it came down to this. While I understand all this, IMO it is far too irrational and selfish of her. In the end she just tried her hardest with Makoto during the practice to make him do his role of Juliet properly by going as far as saying what is not on the script and she even blushes at that part. That blushing affected her so much that she decided to remain hidden while Makoto says hi alone to the gang below. Regardless, Chiba looks cute with that towel over her head. Conclusion, she better fix that problem of bottling up because it will blow up in violence or verbal abuse somehow. It almost did in the beginning with Momo. About Suichi, he had plenty of interesting evolvement. From the beginning he mentions to his mother that he finds wearing a hat to be embarrassing. Now I don’t know why he thinks it is like so but if it’s to protect from the sun, I don’t see why not. Comes a interesting part, the guy who passes with a girl on his bike prompts Shuichi into a reflection, that of the spoiler Rest in spoiler |

Chi's reaction was a bit unexpected at that part tho i know she is lively and enthusiastic but i didn't expect that of her. Yoshino getting angry was expected tho sometimes she just looks like a guardian angel towards Nitorin, i do think that he needs to be able to solve his own problems tho. Chiba's mother seemed like a really nice person which makes me wonder why Chiba always appears so moody. Anna modeling was also interesting to watch that she doesn't care about such a big crowd watching suggests she takes her job very serious. It seems she has taken a interest with people who are very gender neutral in both appearance and behavior since she was taking a picture of Yoshino and Nitorin. That phone strap also suggested something towards Nitorin since she gave him the same one. |
| I kinda feel sorry for Chiba. She seems like shes gonna grow up to be this chronic overachiever, but never feel she can do anything good enough. At the same time she is clearly using Makoto, poor guy likes her too much to see that shes just playing him. Lots of drama and lots of angst makes this series feel nostalgic for me. I cant help but care about these characters and the awkward unrequited polygon they seem to be stuck in. Rather than anything that happened in class or on the playground, this kind of he-likes, she-likes is what really defined grade school. |

| Psst, Chiba, your inner super villainous is showing. I don't really have much of a break down of this episode. Being that I read the manga I have to refrain from mentioning plots points that will give away the coming events to those who don't have an inkling of what they are. I can, however, do a quasi-psychological break down of Chiba. During the scene when she was talking to Mako about the roles in the play, the line she said after Mako called her out sums up a lot about her. Majorly, the fact that she focused on saying that the world doesn't revolve around Nitori. While she tried to turn it on Mako to say that he's jealous of Nitori, one can infer that the truth of her response is that the world not revolving around Nitori is heartbreaking for her. One can argue that Chiba is too young to know what love is, but this would be a good sign that she does in fact love him, or cares deeply for him to say the least. Mayhaps it's something like "If the world revolved around Nitori, then he wouldn't get hurt." Of course it could be argued that I'm only seeing the good side of that. Let's break down Maho next. As the episodes go onward it becomes blatantly obvious that she may very well never accept Nitori for who he is. This is understandable through what occurred before the anime, but for to the persons who haven't seen it the thought is harrowing. Naturally never is a strong word, but I used it for lack of a better one. |

| Loved Sarashina's reaction when that other boy revealed to everyone that Nitorin likes to cross-dress. She really saves this show for me. I'm starting to understand Chiba's character a bit more, so I don't hate her. Honestly, Nitorin is the one that bugs me the most now. So that model girl has the same phone strap that she got Nitorin. Does that mean she likes him? It'll be pretty cheap if she takes an interest in him and Takatsuki gets jealous. |

| Being anime only watcher, I had been wondering if Nitorin had been buliied in the past. It would seem likely, so I'm glad they showed that flashback. It makes the series more realistic. I can't believe Chiba wanted to kill the entire cast :D But it was clear that she was really hurt by the fact that others ruined the story she and Nitorin had created. Once again I felt so sorry for her. But throughout the ep (especially during the fireworks and their walk through the park) it struck me how deep the bond between Nitorin & Tatsuki is, and how much at ease they are with each other. Understandable, as they're sharing issues their friends don't have. So having someone who can relate, who has your back, is comforting and important at that age. | Another beautiful episode! (= I loved the night/fireworks scene, looks really pretty. I'm also really happy to know that there will be a 12th episode, hopefully important to the story and true to the manga. When you read words from a manga you can't always feel the emotions, but when Saori said how she truly felt you could really sense her anger. I didn't like how she basically said Sasa wasn't her friend, since Sasa is so nice to everyone and doesn't deserve that. )= |

| Chiba is my little shining star of pessimism, or something to that extent. I just can't get enough of that kid. I am glad they did the draw though, i sort of expected things to not go so smoothly from a show this good. I have to admit i was interested in Nitori playing Juliet though no matter who was Romeo X.x |
| Kinda happy they didn't get all cliche' with Nitorin drawing the "juliet" role... Overall, I thought the episode was fun but there were some stagnant moments where I lost a little interest... 3/5. looking forward to more development of the play! |

| My heart jumped 10 ft in the air when Saori got Romeo and then sunk 20,000 leagues under the sea when Nitori did not get Juliet 5 seconds later. I love Saori's seriousness and passion for the play. Chizuru’s reaction just proves IMO that she loves cross-dresser or at the very least has a fascination for those of the opposite sex who do it. | Oh my goddess, help me!! I just want to knock Chiba down and stomp her face in!! All of the other characters have some endearing qualities, but Chiba has nothing. Even Chiba's mother felt the need to apologize for Chiba's behavior. Chiba said the world does not revolve around Nitorin. But did she forget that the world does not revolve around her either? I'm sick of her and her mad-at-the-world attitude. I hope something happens to her soon that's bad enough to give her a serious wake-up call. Maybe Chi will get fed up and beat the shit out of her. |

| Another easygoing but great episode. That friend of Chiba's was an asshole for screaming "LULZ CROSSDRESSER!" Also, Chiba should start acting like a civilized human being. |

| Hm, good episode. I specially liked the bit where Chiba's friend tried cross dressing. Next episode should be good, looks like we're gonna see the Romeo and Juliet play in action. Chiba just can't move on... she seems like a person who would take everyone down with her just because things aren't going her way. Which is totally bitchy, and there is no need for an explaination of why she is like that... i mean seriously... just move on! Jesus Christ it's not like you're gonna die if you let Nitori be. She needs to chill the fuck out. She is one of the best characters in this anime though. Including Chi, Takatsuki and Nitori's Confused friend (forgot his name, he's playing as Juliet). The character picking was an intense moment though, I was honestly a little excited to find out who gets to be Romeo and Juliet, and when I did... it was truly shocking. =O |

| Nice episode~ I’m glad they resolved getting Saori and Makoto to be Romeo and Juliet instead of Takatsuki and Nitori, it would’ve been the overly repetitive cliché (the redundancy is needed) we always see. Saori’s “friend” is really loudmouthed. Why did he have to say such a thing so lightly? Sure, he might have apologized and by the way he was acting didn’t seem like it was meant to hurt, but he feels disgusted, he had the intention of getting Nitori unto a possible conflict with the people around him who didn’t know. Even though Chizuru reacted the less-expected way… Well, considering it wasn’t her who would say anything. I love how Anna took out her phone purposely so Nitori noticed her strap, understanding so that she didn’t hate him or thought he was “sick”. Saori and her “I’ll kill them all” didn’t truly surprise me. |

| So far the characters that really interests me are Takatsuki and Chiba. Chiba's friend is just dumb revealing what should not be but when he acted cute, I changed my mind. lol About the role selection, I was happy Chiba being Juliet and find it hilarious when Mako picked up Romeo. XD Seems like twist will going to happen in the play. |
| Poor Nitori getting attacked by Chiba and that guy, this is really getting competitive since everyone is so into this play and some people just don't get it. Hopefully Nitori will not agree and go ahead with an operation in the future, ugh... |

| This episode was more eventful, but I still feel like all the pieces aren't put together all too well. Like, I still feel as if the missing chapters still make it difficult to follow, but at the very least, it's focusing more on the present as opposed to the past. |

| That guy from Chiba's church ... I liked him at first but in the bathroom WTF man O_O Sarashina is awesome lol XD So, the script is ready. Interesting that Mako is Juliet :D Chiba is getting annoying. I mean, she's interesting and all but ... ugh >_< I mean she wants to kill the characters?! | Chiba needs to calm down...she knows she has an attitude but she doesn't change it. She annoys me, I guess it's because I'm a pessimist like her, but she's way more open about it. I didn't expect Mako to get the role of Juliet, hopefully he does a good job at it even though he seemed like he had stage fright or something when practicing. Chiba did a great job though. I also like seeing Takatsuki and Nitori's interactions, they seem very close. |
| I've been watching anime for quite some time , but Chiba is by far the most fucking annoying character I've ever seen. Whenever she was on the screen , I would put up my middle finger.
