I'm like at episode 13 of Love Complex and it seems to me like the plot is dragging on unnecessarily, now I'm just watching just so I can finish it. Random note the intro kind of reminds me of Spanish Rock.

Gurren Lagann of course!

Myself, I'm watching Monster at the moment and some seasonal anime.

You mean Lovely Complex? Yeah, I gotta agree on that. Still, there are some awfully funny 'traps' in that anime.

Correct, you will notice as time goes by that I am horrible with names, it took me over two month to remember my roommates name.

Speed Grapher was meh. It is character driven & I didn't care for them much. 6/10 for boring me to death, but having cool monsters nonetheless. (=

Reviews for Bartender are favorable. I really like seinen, but not slice-of-life so much. This one is episodic? What would you say is interesting about it? (without giving anything away if possible ;)

Bartender is an anime unlike anything I have ever seen before. It is indeed slice-of-life, but done in a very good way. Everything in the anime is handled in an artistic manner. It is very hard to put it into words, my best advice is to just start watching.

Honestly, I am now viewing spirits (liquor) and bartenders a lot different.

It's 11 episodes, all of which mainly take place in and around Eden Hall, the bar of the Glass of the Gods.

Yeah the Garden of Eden is where Adam and Eve were staying before they were tempted by the snake. In this case Eden Hall refers to some other place in Great Britain, but you will understand when you watch Bartender. Just remember that Eden equals peace.

Ah ha! Great Britain. Does it have anything do to do with.... this? It is about a lucky chalice. Right now I'm studying mythology from the area but couldn't remember where I saw this referenced. Must have been a passing one in the textbook. & thanks for the rec btw ~ I am definitely interested in starting this soon.

That is definitely it. The first episode will feature that myth thoroughly.

I am surprised you heard about it. I never heard about Eden Hall before.

It was just a passing reference in a textbook I'm reading this week. I've been studying Celtic myth for uni. I didn't really know what it was all about until I looked it up. The 'halls' and especially the name 'eden' come up a lot around cultures that adopted Celtic myth, especially Britain. can't wait to view this show & see I can spot more mythology. xD That's one big reason I wanted to study it. It's a restricted elective I picked.

I've seen the trailer a while back and I was planning on seeing it in the near future, but after reading this I couldn't wait any longer.
I've watched it and yeah, it's that good. The story, the art, the music... perfect.
And I'm amazed that this was hand drawn.
