...the one thing that stands out to me a lot this time is all the girl-aimed stuff. Except, technically, for Naruto and FMA, but those have many fans in both genders...

Not a bad thing, but that just seems to be the unifying trait of all these manga.

Hetalia and Black Butler sure have been popular lately... Perhaps the recent DVD releases are helping them on the manga front.

It's also set to premier on the Funimation Chanel, if it hasn't already. Probably helping to boost it as well.

Wow! Black Butler is so popular! I just started reading it a week ago!
It's sad that VK is not no 1.
Oh well, hetalia is good too!

FMA's popularity has been increasing constantly :) ever since the reveal about the new season's release :D

Eh? Shojo/female stuff tend to sell good in North America. The sad truth is that outside of really mainstream and popular manga shounen/seinen fans just dont buy here. It's funny when you contrast to the comic book market which is pretty much fueled by testosterone. Guess it just reflects the differences between the two fan bases.
