| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Compared to last week's episode, this episode was way more jam-packed with action and game mechanics. We see Misaki cardfight for the first time, and she ends up sweeping Aichi even if it's her first fight, introducing mechanics such as draw triggers and level 3's. Seems like there's a lot about this game that's yet to be revealed, so it'll be interesting to see how the mechanics of Vanguard develops. |

| Great episode! I was so shocked Aichi lost, O-O I'm used to the whole "protagonist ALWAYS wins" on yugioh, wow. That girl rocks and the fight was really interesting! |
| I was also surprised that a female character defeated the protagonist. Like the other person said, in YGO it never happened before or other similar franchises. But I didn't expect that Misaki never duel before, I was expecting her to have some more experience, besides looking at the others duels. |

I got an idea from this match,what if the fighters switched their deck for a match, so your playing against your own cards. And the obective to winning is you have to lose, your cards have to win. You play to win with your enemies deck, but your ulitimatly supposed to loose to your deck in the enimes hand. Rules are you have to play exactly like their your cards you're trying to win with. I never thought of that before...that would be really awesome for an episode!!! :3 |

| This might change in the future but as of episode 4 I am really beginning to like this series. There is no world altering event dependent on a card came. There is no school for card games. No superpowers. No magic card drawing. None of these, yet. Just a trading card game for fun and profit. |
| Aichi should have fused buster blade, activated his trap or used his spell cards...oh wait! Well at least card effects actually put strategy in the game^^ |

| Hot and badass. Misaki for my favorite character in the series so far. I'm glad Aichi lost tbh. Those grade 3's are pretty strong.. |

| So Misaki was Vanguard-virgin? However she is awesome and natural in this. Definitely the best character. The manager skillfully donate-baited Aichi for buying more cards. Still waiting for some kind of tournament. |
