| I hate it when card games depend on luck This is where Yu-Gi-Oh! shines, the only luck you need is when drawing the first hand, everything else depends on your strategy I'm really lost about the whole damage system of this game, how is it calculated exactly (defence and attack) ? and when Blaster Blade defeated Dragonic Overlord, Dragon Knight Nehalem was the one sent to the damage zone (or whatever it is called). why ? |

| This episode was pretty fun, but I still don't really find much depth in the game itself. I'm also getting a ton of Yugioh vibes, like how Aichi is like Yugi, Kai is like KAIba, Blaster Blade is like Buster Blader, and Dragonic Overlord is like BEWD. I'm hoping for the game to develop more though and stray away from just being a Yugioh clone. |

| The second episode was really good as well, and let's not forget it's still too early for complicated duels. Yu-Gi-Oh started the same too, with simple duels and then they evolved into difficult ones. Kai reminds me more of a Jack Atlas version, since he knows Aichi from the past, like Jack knew Yusei. Although his design (and even name) is similar to Kaiba. Misaki seems to have some background, like TC said. Maybe a retired champion or something. She looks like an interesting character, but indeed she looks somewhat similar to Bakura. I like it so far. |

| the game design looks like it'll lead to extremely fast games that rely heavily on luck. In rl anyway, in the series there will probably be enough exposition on pointless topics to make every "battle" last 2-5 episodes. I hope I'm wrong about this. If I'm not, I'm dropping this series as being even worse than Yugioh. |

| I keep waiting for that shop owner to do something, I have a feeling she'll give Aishi some cards or something. I seriously don't know what to think of Kai. One moment he's good, then bad, then good again. I feel like he's going to be the Kaiba of vanguard. This show could be presented better if i'm honest, perhaps focus on that "other world" thing to keep it interesting. Seeing 2 people place cards on a table is boring to watch, it's nothing special to actually playing a card game in real life. Regardless, I'll continue watching just in case the opening was bad and the other episodes are decent. As I put on the last discussion, I am considering buying a starter deck or something. I found this anime by my brother accidently picking up a vanguard booster pack at my local TCG store (thinking they were a new yugioh one) before the shopkeeper pointed it out. So yeah, off to the next one I guess. |

| Well, that's pretty much what i expected: people playing generic card game and acting as if they are doing something great and awesome. The game looks kinda boring. But the characters from the game and artworks are awesome. The girl is really cool, she is obviously going to be the best character. I hope there will be some tournament or something soon. And Aichi is totally gay to Kai-kun. |
