| Great episode, first half was the best with Stocking getting overly obese, lol that was hilarious. 2nd half was hilarious as well, I mean everyone running without their underwear? And to top it off, Panty takes Brief's underwear and uses it as a shotgun! LMAO! |

| Alright so I was a little conflicted at least about the first short. Didn't straight up hate it I guess. I just, I don't know. Whenever anime does weight related humor it just feels so mean spirited. Plus yeah Stocking's one of my favorite things about the series. And and this short was pretty mean to her, I guess. I just didn't really enjoy it, though I struggle to come up with a real problem it has besides mocking overweight people. It was at least a little sympathetic to their plight. The only part of the whole fat Stocking bit I thought was funny, was when she still recited their transformation thing in her husky voice. The ending where she's back to guzzling sweets without consequence was pretty cute though. I was kind of on the fence sadly about the second short too. In part because it revived the Garterbelt is a rapist pedophile thing. In part because it was a bit of a formless nonsensical mess. The demon this time was pretty amusing at least. When they introduced his gimmick, I didn't even think that he might devour their weapons that was a little sharp there. I also for whatever reason got a kick out of the very simple joke, that Panty can't see through Garterbelt's painfully obvious alias Master G. |

| Really fun episode again. I wish I was a part of the Gainax staff when producing this anime, cause from the content and the production that I'm able to see from the products of their hard work, I would assume that it would have been such a blast to work on this show with tons of laughs for how stupid the jokes are, especially even for the dub staff later on who just continues to deliver gold with the script choices in English. I thought the directing in the first short, "The Diet Syndrome" was really creative, chaotic and fun in particular. Especially the camera shots when portraying Stocking losing her fucking mind more and more and more as the story progresses due to gaining more and more weight out of nowhere by just having the camera pan everywhere possible at the building like a fucking earthquake, and some of the frames to show her lose her mind with the amount of work she's put in vain were cool too, especially when Panty wanted to tease Stocking by getting her lots of pastries but she witnessed how Stocking looked both dead on the outside and the inside. I haven't seen High School Musical but High School Nudical sounds way better of an experience imo. Wouldn't want to downgrade myself to watching the movies after seeing this short, although the first short for me was better. I need to rewatch Gurren Lagann again to properly decide which one is better, but Panty and Stocking might be my favorite Gainax anime so far. Gurren Lagann has some astounding highs but some pretty low lows too with some boring stretches here and there along with other elements that bothered me. Panty and Stocking's much more controversial and love-hate with the audience and has no real story but the stupidity is a lot more entertaining to watch for me in a consistent basis and the directing from various directors is fun to watch too without many dips in the enjoyment factor. Still 9 episodes to go so opinions can change back, but for now, I'm having a good ass time still with this stupid show. |

| Poor Stocking. All that effort only for it to be the work of a ghost. I sympathize with the body positivity message of these episodes, but the absurd extremes they end up at is silly. At least it ended well with the arrest of Master G. His hidden goals were worse then the ghosts! |

| Episode A was the winner here, especially thanks to a Stocking focus - I feel like Panty tends to hog the spotlight, which does make sense for her, but I do enjoy getting to see more of Stocking's own quirks. Episode B didn't quite grab me, but it wasn't bad either. Overall, a likable block of episodes. |
| The diet episode is the first one so far that has made me genuinely laugh, great visual humor. |
