I've watched the live-action version. It suggests a more romantic relationship between Ryuu and Miwa than the anime (don't know about the manga). I have mixed reactions to Japanese live-action shows because of the "mugging" that goes on, but Bartender is pretty restrained in that regard. Most of the live-action shows I've watched look more like this scene from Nodame Cantabile: |
