Straight up i can't call it the biggest retro-upset or the best show of the season. However i think i can say that it iwas for sure the best straight up comedy that is for sure.
The volleyball scene was awesome. The moment when everyone finally fawned over Ika coming back was long deserved as i have wanted her to be respected and loved the whole season. Although i am sad she got a slap at the end

Excellent show that never once failed. It was this "easy to pick up"-kind of show that actually was funny and very sweet. The invader-thing will always be a bit tiresome, but besides that it was top notch. Great animation is also a big plus.
-z- said: I'm so sad it's over, but luckily there's the bonus mini-ika episodes to look forward to!
Tako musume eh? This is quite an opening for a new season of this :D At first, I thought she was the person who wears Ika-head all the time xDD
I'll miss Ika musume <3 gotta buy an Ika plushie or whatever I could keep xDD
By the way, even though her first appearance on the manga was also short, and they discussed something different, it still had spices of drama blended in. Just so people know that the anime didn't force drama in this series.
Ika was feeling down in front of the sea, thinking that she has made no progress at all in her conquest. Enters TAnabe KOzue, who makes her understand that her invasion so far might be meaningful in a different way than she thinks due to how different each human being is from each other.
She also hits a bullseye (seriously, watch her face as Tako Musume says this) as for the biggest factor of her depression: if she got serious, Ika Musume actually does have enough abilities to subyugate at least a number of humans, but the price is that she will not only become sworn enemies with the friends she has made; she will physically injure them (or worse). This has her confused as she doesn't know what to do to proceed in her conquest.
Tako finally hints that Ika is free to pursue a more aggressive method of invasion, but then Tako, even though she won't be inferfering with Ika, most likely will not like it.
As she leaves, she tells her to remember that she is not alone. Then Takeru arrives and makes a remark about Tanabe's hat being weird.
Absolutely love the series as a whole, but this last episode was kind of a downer for me. I was expecting it to go out on a more fun note, other than that though they really need to give Ika musume a 2nd season.
