| I give Spice and Wolf a 9/10 brillant show. Now for the sequel. This episode Horo felt a little dumber than usual but by the end she was back on top of her game. |

| I still don't know why the heck is this episode DVD only. I mean, there was only minimal amount of sexual reference, and that was just Lawrence and Horo joking around (or flirting, if you want to call it that way.) Anyway, good episode. I'm one of those who can understand this whole merchant talk so I'm fine with all the dialogues. Happy that I got to see this episode in order. |

| Urg! So my torrent batch I downloaded didn't have this episode, so I made a search on Megaupload to find it, and when I downloaded it and opened it up, it was in French subs! Urg again! But I didn't want to find it streaming in Eng subs, wait for it to load, and then watch in crap quality. I mean, I took 3 years of French, but still! Reading it and translating it in my head didn't go as fast as the subtitles did >_< also I didn't understand a lot of the vocab. Verbs, conjugation, and numbers I got down, but I didn't know like half the words! Anyway that's just me bitching. What I got out of this episode is that Horo's getting sick of apples, Lawrence called her a nun, they went shopping for new clothes, Horo got the price down from 8 silver coins to 7 silver coins because cute girls like herself shoudn't have to pay that much, and Lawrence made fun of her for not knowing how trade works and something about paying her in apples...? Interesting episode, nonetheless. |
| Lol Horo goddamnit, so cute. Definately, their relationship is starting to get better and better. Loved how Horo told Lawrence about missing the blessing of the God, which is actually her hands. Also liked the first scene of Horo saying many Hontoni's to Lawrence. XD So cute, lol. Nothing really happened but I liked it a lot because of Horo. :D She's mad good at negotiating. She even beats Lawrence at it. XD |

| Lawrance you, why did you reject her those two times. It was a nice and relaxing episode, a break from all that action. Holo looked nice in her new clothes. And finally I'm starting to get that romance vibe. Hopefully they will kiss soon. |

| personally i hate buying clothes, but watching these two doing so was fun xD moreover, "you look like a nun", rotfl xD also, even merchant-speak is pretty understandable when you get used to it, which took me about four-five eps :P |

| I must say that even if there was virtually no development in this episode, the dialogue was amazing! It was a highly enjoyable episode, before I noticed it, it was already over! That is a sign of something very-well directed. |

| I'm having a hard time enjoying the romance. Holo has the appearance of a girl only 15 years old, and then there's the whole wolf issue. I can't really imagine Holo loving Lawrence or the other way around other than completely platonically. |

| I love flirting that's actually well-scripted. Lawrence was clearly showing off for Holo -- the clothing scheme was probably more trouble than it was worth, depending on what the baseline price for the bolero and cap would've been for a typical customer. The shopkeeper starts with ten coins, so we can assume the baseline for a typical customer would've been higher than that -- let's say eleven. At that price, Lawrence would've saved three coins by knocking the price down to eight coins (not taking into consideration Holo knocking the price down to seven coins with her own "method"). Assuming Lawrence loses one coin on the winter clothing, like he said, in all he only would've made a profit of two coins. Then again, Lawrence said the store lost a "substantial" amount on the bolero and cap, so the baseline might've been much higher than eleven coins. | I love it when a simple joke or theme is returned to throughout the episode - in this case Holo getting tired of the apples and Lawrence bringing up apple pie. The end scene was just perfect with them referring to themselves as apples/being baked/eaten. Simplicity is key and this anime is doing it well! |
