| Ikki is absolutely overpowered. The Phoenix never dies, meaning rebirth and armor rejuvenation, mind crushes, flying, super strength, insane composure. This guy has no limits, ...except for the writers who decide he should stay in the back so the enemies have a chance. Seriously, he's absolutely crazy. He even dropped a Kenshiro "You're already dead" basically. I loved the way we saw how his mind/soul crush move interacted with that one silver knight. At first I had thought it was some dumb the Phoenix never dies stuff but I'm glad it wasn't. When his head first fell my jaw dropped. I had also assumed Ikki would care more about Shun when he had a chance of dying rather than saying if he can't make it back he's not worthy of being a saint, but the excuse for this may very well be that Ikki is still acting like he's not a part of the crew. Fool your friends before your enemies after all. Aside from that, that was a pretty alright episode. It wasn't very impressive, but the fights were pretty good and seeing Ikki fight for once was a treat so it was okay. |

| OMAE KA YOOOO! IKKI! The chad phoenix returns again and shows off how cool he is - which is rather ironic considering his constellation. The biggest surprise in this episode, however, was that NEBULA CHAAAAAIN actually worked. Like holy shit, that's what, the third time it has ever worked against an enemy? I mean granted the guy was 9/10th of the way there, but still! |
