Frederica got there right on time. Yang chose the right woman to be his wife. It's always handy to have someone with good aim.

What was left of the skeleton that was known as the alliance government will probalby be completely dissolved now. It's a shame but their actions proved that it wasn't worth defending. Now they just need to somehow make a grand escape and meet up with Merkatz.

...even a saint needs a soldier to do the dirty work.

Awesome episode. I love how the characters in this show always think logically about events, yet can still get outwitted by other characters with more foresight.

And damn the Rosenritters keep getting more and more awesome.

The preview spoiled that Yang would make it, I won't be watching them in the future. But, really good episode anyway.

I'm more worried about their future,it is for sure that they don't have that many options after they join up with Merkatz, they will be just a... lonely but deadly fleet. Its not like they can't inflict damage, but whats their purpose?

I absolutely loved this episode, not for the action (though much welcomed), but for what was said regarding sacrifices and maintaining order. Lebello had the best of intentions, but it would've meant sacrificing a great hero to protect the Alliance's status quo.... but it could be easily argued with what Yang mentioned about Lebello protecting his ass from Imperial intervention.

I loled at the whole 'execution' scene
"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

"The Achilles Heel is an important part of the body as well. Don't look down on it."

XDDD That is hilarious. <3 Yang.

The people who run the country are so unbelievably stupid that they deserve to have their country burn to the ground.

Heh, that was a nice couple moment! lol! :bang: Darling!

Another awesome episode
Great dialogs about politicians, sacrifices and the Achilles Heel ^^
And the Rosenritters are really great, I especially start to like Schenkopp more and more.
I probably regret this post by now.

I'm getting uneasy about Yang's prospects. He just barely made it out now, and there aren't a lot of places to go. Best case scenario, he reunites with Merckatz, starts a revolt, and still gets routed by the 20x larger empire.

This image struck me more than anything else in the episode:

That's the face of a man who doesn't want to die. Just when I think I understand Yang, another layer of him is brought under scrutiny.

Exciting episode to say the least. Lebello is interesting in that I understand that he seems to have the best intentions, but I just can't bring myself to agree with a government that is willing to sacrifice a person who has done so much for them like Yang. Something about that is frankly just fucked up.

Close one for Yang..... I'm sure Reinhard didn't want ANY of this! (Reinhard respects Yang, or he would've killed Yang long ago back at the surrender!!! Reinhard said so himself, he views Yang as a worthy opponent rather than sworn enemy)

Why MUST all you subordinates cause this shit for Reinhard and Yang???

Sweet moment with Yang and Frederica (actually made them look like lovers). Anyways I really wonder how they will get off of Heinessen, I mean isn't it surrounded by Imperial ships? Although perhaps the newly stolen 4,000 ships will be able to help, if they have enough people to man them.

Both Yang and Reinhard have now been a moment away from death outside of the battlefield (after the war)

You can't help but love Yang and Fredrica. His quotes have always been incomparable, in every situation.

Walter, Dusty and the Rosenritters of course stole the show. They've been awesome this arc. They're like Yang's "Oskar and Mittermyer", but their friendship extends to their leader as well.

LOGH simply has such a great cast, I'm looking forward to the next change in the Universe this triggering event will cause. Well, Yang needs to escape before all of that of course.

QFT, my feelings exactly. Lebello is a bit more honorable than that scum Truniht, but sacrificing the Nation's Number 1 Hero is unacceptable no matter the circumstances.

Rosenritters were SOOOO F$CKING AWESOME here, i couldn't help but cheer for them as they made a mockery of the cops, and then everyone else that dared stand in their way. I really love them, and Schenkopp is sooo badass, a true Gem of a Character, of which LOGH has dozens (of Gems that is). I can think of very few shows that can even dream of comparing to the depth, realism, and likability of the huge cast.

Schenkopp is such a fantastic character. I love his relationship with Yang, I feel like he's one of the few characters in the series who can go toe to toe with him in conversation. Usually everyone is completely taken in by Yang's words but Schenkopp always lingers and remains behind in war councils and such to bring up issues or his thoughts and talk further with Yang.

Also him being the commander of the most badass unit does help quite a bit x)

LOL that dude fell into the typical anime villain trope for sure, he walked into a room to execute a man only to talk with him for extended period of time, shoot and miss, talk more, hesitate multiple seconds on pulling trigger, and bam backup is there.

Of course that dude was fucked anyway Yang's wife would have killed him out of revenge anyway.

I think even if Yang , Merkatz, and the remnants of the fleet hadn't had this whole rebuild and fight the empire when the time is right plan, even if they all completely gave up to the empire, I bet Yang still would have had multiple assassination attempts against him from the empire at some point anyway. Just the way Oberstein thinks anyway he would have pretty much kept trying to get Yang killed until he succeeded I'm pretty sure.

Rosenritters and Shenkopp were bad ass as usual .. Yeah its definitely interesting from here on out! Hard to predict whats going to happen, but I don't like the fact that all of this pretty much happened before the new alliance fleet was built up sufficiently. Remember when Yang and Merkatz were saying it was supposed tot take like 5-8 years or something? No way in hell they're ready to realistically challenge the empire at this point, so I don't have much hope of them succeeding sadly.

"A nation's survival isn't something to be discussed at the level of one individual's rights." -Joanne Lebello.

I think at this point, it's safe to say that Yang's survival is not only an individual's rights, but the survival of an entirely new nation beyond the current unsalvageable mess of a power struggle between the Alliance and the Imperials. Yang represents a new, bright future, and he is not merely a single person any more, which is why his "individual rights" and survival are paramount to those who believe in him.
