THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
It's not surprising Trunicht disappeared yet again. I can only hope he'll be flushed out of his hiding place before all is said and done but I have a feeling he'll survive and show his slimy face again when the coast is clear.
Watching the alliance putting up a fight now is painful. They're pretty much at their death throes. Their leaders are dying and passing out left and right; and they haven't even started to fight yet. Even Yang won't be able to stop the inevitable since Iserlohn will be taken once he leaves.
I'm not sure how it's going to work out, but if what the council wants is to fight until they can broker a peace deal then that's all they have left. I can hear the swan song now :(
Looks like the FPA is on its last hinges. lol at the amazing bagel guy that knows more about stuff then everybody else. Nice to see someone keep a cool head while under so much pressure, besides Yang that is.
The FPA is really in a terrible situation now, not only they were in minority compared to the Empire but now they're even more in minority and they've lost one of the two corridor.
The battle against the empire can only take place in their own territory or at least in the corridor of Isserlohn, which leaves not enough option for them. If they want to attack the Empire they would have to use the Corridor of Isserlohn or to win Phezzan (which is not very believable I guess).
I really don't see how FPA could get out of this situation, but hell I hope there will be more devellopment on Yang Wenli and FPA in the next episodes.
"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')
I thought the way people were escaping, dieing, or generally looking out for themselves was pretty interesting this episode. Particularly when the guy who is over the Goldenbaulm's went to the meeting to see only Merkatz there.
Oh man, that prose at the beginning about new constellations - Reinhard is too romantic for me. He doesn't even live in the same world as the other characters, he's just somewhere far more beautiful. =_= He needs Kircheis by his side.
PS:am I the only one who's really loving the OP&ED songs?^^all 4..
Kimi wo asate minaitaa~~
No! Every single one so far has been gorgeous. When there is too much content to allow Michiru Akiyoshi to sing, I'm a little disappointed~
I honestly hope Reinhard wins this battle. Reinhard and his Empire are well-disciplined and Reinhard has good intentions of governing the universe. The Alliance (their leaders) been nothing, but selfish coward dogs that talk big, and hide in trouble. If Reinhard wins, I'm 100% sure he'll use fullest ability of Yang. The universe would be united.
Man, It is not looking good for the Free Planet Alliance (and definitely not for the Legitimate Empire) . . . I wonder if they will be able to stop Reinhard at all, or if he is just going to face roll the alliance. Maybe it will work out if Yang gets their in time, but who knows.
I rather think things are looking grim for the empire...Sandwich man has come up and knows what hes doing. The dog-faced politicians are finally not sh*tting things and Yang now has FREEDOMMM! Personally I really want Reinhard to win this one. But I'm also worried about a few key foreshadows (Heinrich up to something, Oberstein messing things up [secret police], Ruental's new attitude towards Reinhard). I rather think that things are looking very grim for Reinhard :"(((. Hopefully I am wrong.
