----------------------------------------
This turned out to be a very enjoyable episode for me.

Before he got into the inquiry mess Yang still showcased his apparent clairvoyance by figuring out Phezzan has a hand somewhere in the hostilities, even though he has no proof of it. Is there any plot Miracle Yang can't deduce?

I take back what I posted before about his political skill. Yang is more than capable of handling the political side of things. He did an excellent job at maintaining his cool while getting Negroponty and the rest of the inquiry board flustered. His handling of the situation by answering their questions down to the last detail was good to see.

Lt. Greenhill was no slouch either, never backing down exhausting all her options. Louis and her were very lucky getting saved in the end.

...even a saint needs a soldier to do the dirty work.

Usually its the governments like the Galactic Empire that has lots of faulty politics but this time it's the other way around. I can tell something crazy is going to happen soon with the FPA.

the whole episode really really topped this series for me...

It was just awesome and funny how Yang handled the inquiry...It was so funny when he said he'll quit at the end of the episode.

The ending is truly epic. The fortress warps in the space corridor!!! Epic battle will follow!

Good to see Yang be as effective with words as he is with a fleet. He didn't let up at all and kept the pressure on the Inquiry Commitee.

Luckily for Greenhill and Louis, Bucock appeared when he did, otherwise those men from PKC would've certainly killed her.

It seems that the PKC have ties, or are part of this Terra Cult from Phezzan.

...and that last scene with the Empire making a huge entrance with its fortress certainly doesn't bode well for the Alliance now it has one more worry to add to its list.

Yang is the man, i loved(well hated it but loved it at the same time) the inquiry, it was really enjoyable to see Yang belittle them.

Miracle Yang.. He's so awesome. The way he handled the inquiry while keeping his cool, just awesome. He also predicts Phezzan's hand in all of this. I loved the part where Yang was saying "I'll quit" over and over and writing a letter of resignation! He definitely won't quit though. XD

Thank god that Bucock came to Frederica's rescue from the PKC. I would not want to see her out of the picture! She's a great character.

The end was really good as well with the Geiersberg warping. The capture of Isherlohn begins?

Superb episode.

That last scene is definitely a crowning moment of awesome. I mean, having a freaking Death Star jump out of nowhere, ready to FUBAR everything, does not seem like it would be very fun for the Alliance.

One thing I hated about this episode:

Yang figuring out Phezzan plan after watching a Phezzan ad (I think?) just came out of nowhere. The guy is smart but this is a little bit to much in my opinion.

Two thing I loved :

Yang just destroyed those politician in that room.
The huge fortress scene was epic

I believe Yang was correct by saying he wasn't a 'radical anarchist' (meaning chaos), but he's rather a 'rational anarchist' (societies and natural law, just no coercive nations or governments). He gives off too many anti-statist remarks not to be one. He's only working in the state, because he wants to prevent further violence being carried out. He understands the military is a political tool and without his genius plans, more lives would be lost on both sides. In the end, Yang just wants to be a historian, he really doesn't care about the military or the Free Plants Alliance, he just wants individuals to be free.

I dont remember the particular scene, but I believe that when the media is controlled or influenced by the Government, I think it is possible to understand its plans and designs by observing things like that.

Yang going off on a rant at the end was pretty funny, but also kind of sad. He just can't get a break, poor dude.

Inquiry was hilarious, I guess the Empire isn't the only place with a bunch of blustering old men who are used to power etc.

This was easily my favorite episode so far. From what I've seen, LoGH is at it's best when it deals with politics and good discussions (though to be fair this was quite one-sided) over huge ships firing lasers at other huge ships.

Yang is so wise. One minute he's criticizing the suppression of internal civil rights on the pretext of invasion by external enemies, the next he's describing the dependency of a democratic system upon the autonomous intent of individuals. If only real policitians also knew that it was the system that's disposable, not the people.

Phezzan manipulated it into happening so Yang would be withdrawn from Iserlon Fortress, which makes Reinhard's conquest easier. Alliance leaders are easily manipulated because they are afraid of losing their jobs to someone who could quickly take over, if he wanted to.

I'm quite impressed that Yang was able to remain calm, while these hypocritical d*cks of politicians where shoving out one assumption after another.

Also when the attack on Isernlohn begins, they'll probably come crawling again begiing Yang to defend it.

Damn, if Yang ever will start doing things the Reinhard way: killing all tedious individuals off....after this episode, I can sympathize with that.

Yang's arguments and his speech about his social and political views were great though.

Probably one of the greatest episodes of any anime ever imo. The opening scene was amazingly well done, the Inquiry pissed me off at first only for me to be pleased with how Yang handled it, I found it funny yet I felt his anger when he was in his room, and then the ending scene was EPIC.

It pisses me off that Yang has done so much for the Alliance and THIS is how he is treated. I don't think I'd blame him if he DID revolt after this.

I don't think I've ever seen Yang as fired up as he was after being escorted back to his room after the inquiry. If I were being treated like that after everything he has done I would be ready to quit also. Not gonna happen though. Soon they will be begging him to re-assume command of Iserlohn.

Also handled the inquiry very well. To bad he seems to have no powerful allies left except for his crew on Iserlohn. Gonna be a problem down the road. Maybe even another coup d'etah.

As bad as the Empire's nobility was I think the Alliance's government might be even more retarded . . . Atleast the empire recognized the fact they didn't give two shits about human rights. But the Alliance seems to believe that they do, and more worringly they have taken their only competent commander and are trying to convict him of some crime after he completely saved their asses. He should have joined the revolt.

man cant wait till those same politicians beg yang to save their shitty fat asses

yang is a good man but hes on the worst side, while reinhard is a questionable man but hes improved his empire for much better. the alliance has been descending into its own shit since episode 1; but if yang hates the system why cant he give a shit about changing it?? why protect something shitty without at least a follow-up plan of improving it?? yangs seriously disappointing

but this is another contrast i like about their characters
while theyre both heroes, actions logically follow motivations. yang is too apathetic and he suffers for it, whereas reinhard wants complete control and he profits from it

This episode evoked such rage from me, I don't know when the last time an anime was able to do that to me. When Ltn Greenhill and Mashengo, Louis were ambushed by the PKC, and Mashengo started throwing it down, I couldn't help but get pumped shouting "Ike Frieza-Sama (same Voice Actor) Kick their Asses!".. the first time I've ever rooted for Frieza in my life.

Such a sick twisted Government that runs the "Free" Alliance, sadly all too reminiscent of the current corrupt administration in the US, with the media all but 100% in their pocket sprouting their propaganda and trying to suppress the plethora of scandals and corruption. Sickening.

This is also heavily reminiscent of Ender's Game, where Miracle Ender was also in effect imprisoned, like Yang, due to politicians fears and desperation to cling to power. It's just preposterous to think that Heroes can be treated that way.

Yang is reaching his limit of tolerance, I only wish that he could join with Reinhardt and abolish the mockery of "democracy" that the Free Alliance supposedly stands for. If Kircheis was alive that would likely have been a probable outcome, since Kircheis greatly respected and held of Yang, and would smooth the transition of alliance between the two mammoths Reinhardt and Yang. This is one of the primary reasons Kircheis had to die, to render the otherwise sensible alliance between the two nearly impossible.

GAWD you have the exact same thinking as me. Watching LOGH up until now, this episode has enraged me by far far the greatest. Watching that FATFUCK inquire Yang made me want to absolutely rip his skin and flesh off. And they attack Lt.Greenhill???! Now I am seriously hoping that Yang will coup and crush these fucking shitbag politicians. GOD I am fuming right now. Going to rip each and everyone one of those politicians apart if I could just get my hands on them...

Now they have the Imperials invading...Just great...If I was Yang I would jump ships and say SAYONARA FUCKBAGS.

P.S. Excuse the extremely vulgar language. Personally I do not like to include these words in my vocabulary however in the case of portraying my extreme anger and rage I had no choice.
