This episode was brilliant. Very little actually happens, but the suspense and tension was incredible. The outcome was unexpected and unusual giving all the build up, but I think it was appropriate and satisfying.

Epic. Battle finished before even actually started. I was expecting this solution from Captain Tylor and it was the best move he's made so far.
And the choice of music - brilliant.

honestly it didn't make much sense to me, and I doubt the politicians on either side would be satisfied. and any military person that has half a brain will call Tyler a reckless moron for allowing an invading army free access to the ships and territory he was supposed to be protecting. same goes for Dom, though its the Empress he'd be accused of endangering.

Analysis incorrect. Classic example of extending one hand in a gesture of peace and respect while the other is firmly affixed to the sword.

I don't know what happened but I absolutely love the music during the fleet engagement, it almost feel like a LOGH fleet battle somehow. XD

I really enjoyed this episode... especially the part as the ships passed by and the guns were trained.

That paired with the flashback of Dom talking to the Empress about why he wanted command of the fleet was great.

woaha this was awesome mental challenge. I gt admit i was little nervous about that i wonder what would happened if imperial fleet was commanded by some of those power hungry jeezers..
But Tylor man, this is how you fight war lol > 0:0 of lost units and sweating liters while pretending to be calm in front of the enemy commander XD

Hahah, Well Tylor kept his Promise...UPSF Did NOT lose in this battle...We also see that Tylor is brilliant Commander or at least Genius, but keeps it under his fool character. SO truly either Complete Fool, or Magnificent Bastard!!!

And Admiral Hanner was only one that realized it..at least in the side of the UPSF. Damn had to say, I was sweating little when i watched ships arriving battle zone. Tough that Passing Salute was damn Cool in my opinion

Damn Music in these last few and future episodes is truly great and fitting to the this Series/Episodes

Oh Wang...I am so happy to see and Say that your plans...are competently ruined, by Tylors hands...and He even does not know it!!!!

This was literally outstanding, the choice of the music only made it better.
Best episode so far.

Very epic Legend of the Galactic Heroes music.

That episode elevated the series from a pretty fun space show to a rather excellent space show. Absolutely loved it.

That was exactly what I thought while I was watching it! There was so much tension and suspense, I could barely stand it.

It's like the staff of Legend of the Galactic Heroes did this episode. I had visions of Tylor being Yang Wenli to Dom's Reinhardto-sama.

Brilliant episode.

Anyone know that epic orchestra piece that played during the battle? The OST doesn't seem to have any trace of such a thing.

That was the William Tell Overture, with its recognizable finale happening around the 8:45 marker.

Was that a straight send-up of LoGH? Beautiful music use, and such wonderfully intense juxtaposing.

One can just imagine Admiral Hanner as a somewhat senile old Yang Wen-li.

Probably the best episode so far by far.

Damn this was exiting. Tylor vs Dom: the suspense of two worlds! This is a name that perfectly sums up the amazing "battle" that we got to witness. Electrifying suspense for an ending that truly fit the series. Onward towards the final 3!

Without question the best episode of the series so far!

The music choice was fantastic and the build up/tension to "the battle" was incredible. Tylor truly is a genius.

The tension was fitting the stakes at hand, and neither of the commanders was sure until the end, but what comes after this, is much more important.
As for music, "ride of the valkyries" would be a better choice in my opinion.

Fantastic. I love when comedies do this kind of thing, being a bit more serious without betraying their nature. Only Tylor could pull off a plan like this lol.

Exhilerating. I'm not sure how that was supposed to end the war and everyone is confident about it but moment-to-moment that was grand. The classic music, the lead in, Tylor's ambiguity.

This episode was actually really cool; I liked the music and such and the buildup/tension was excellent. I think this was the best episode of the series so far.
