| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This episode was ok. It closely follows the manga. I liked some of the jokes. Azuki in maid outfit was so cute. And Shujin packet in his sleeping bag looked like a caterpillar :D Two Earths sure are interesting, I want to read it in real!! And Eiji's story aswell. Haha :) Just the Jack instead of Jump will be more and more annoying in next eps... |

As for the episode, it really is following the manga quite closely. Because it's following the manga, though, it does feel a little slow paced. Laughed at some of the jokes here and there :P It looks like Eiji will be a good rival. And Mashiro is a serious perfectionist; his drawings don't look bad, but it's not good enough for his standards :P Screenshots: |

Moritaka doesn't eat potato chips.. he's a MAD BURGER EATER hahaha :D -Koogy totally looks like Sasuke from Naruto. Can't wait to see him more animated so i can add him to my similar character list. -Shuujin in a sleeping bag is so cute and funny :3 -Handshake of hard work .. aww :O They should have named Jump ''Junk'' .. it kinda sounds the same and would have not been that annoying to hear :) |

| Another great episode. kaya is head over heels for shuujin now. even if he made that silly mistake, doesnt really matter, since she is cute. i also liked the honest comments miho made about her being shy when it comes to boys. +1 for miho in maid outfit +1 for kaya-shuujin moments boy, i love this anime! |

The whole "Jack" thing is garbage, and it's only gonna make later episodes worse... (don't read this spoiler if you haven't read the manga) Jump really mucked this one up imo! They should've done it like all the others, made a Jump Tour special to see what people like and didn't like, and released the series from there. Then Viz would've simulcasted it, and it wouldn't have taken 3 yrs to get a stateside release, which I'm sure we won't get it for a while. And, Viz probably won't pick it up now b/c it's not a Jump anime. Look at Rosario...Funi? And when did Rosario come out? Exactly my point. Though this manga seems to be more popular than Rosario already, so maybe I'll be wrong, hopefully. I mean look at Cross Game...who woulda thunk it? Episode was nice, more bromance development, and I'm sorry, but Takagi's crying was very cheesy and unauthentic. In the manga it had impact, and I even teared up, I was laughing! Next should be great!! Urahara Out!! |

| I must say, seeing the Screenshots on page 1.. the art is top notch in this anime. And somehow it makes me want to see more :(. And for some odd reason I really liked the Azuki-Miyoshi scenes D: |

| The pace is actually fine.... I think it is the overall BGM that makes me felt sleepy -_-: At least the near end give me a bit motivation to watch next episode. | Love this show! Takagi in his sleeping bag was so KAWAIIIII!!!! And...looks like there's a little romance on the horizon for him. I don't like Seiko's mom. She comes across as secretly hoping that he fails so that she can say, "I told you so!" |

| The progression of the story was good.. Liked the KayaXShujin scenes.. :) Also, Miho in maid outfit.. Looking forward to their first work though the preview seems they're denied.. >.< |

They are trying to get their manga published in "Weekly Shonen Jack" magazine, which is a parody of "Weekly Shonen Jump" magazine. This manga is published in Jump, as well as all the other top hits such as Bleach, Gin Tama, Naruto, etc. etc. Those manga I mentioned have been turned into anime, and have all been backed by Jump(hence the Shonen Jump above anime titles like Bleach, etc.) This anime has not been backed by Jump, well at least not enough for them to be able to use the Jump name when talking about the magazine/company. I for one think this is idiotic, especially considering that this whole series centers around Jump, and the fact that they use the real names when talking about other manga just makes it that much more pathetic, imo. If you can't use the Jump name, why wouldn't you just parody everything else, at least that way it would be funny, and a running gag. But now it's just stupid, and will further complicate more episodes in the future. Hope this helps! Zepwich said: Well that's volume 1 done.. | This series needs to get its ass in gear and fast. I am so sick and tired of it dragging things out. Five episodes in and they are just now calling up Jump? There are ten tankouban out there to adapt. They do not have to worry about running into filler. Fucking hell, Bakuman, GET ON WITH IT! |
