According to ManTan Web, a spin off anime and manga series of Crayon Shin-chan was announced to start this November. The title is "Crayon Shin-chan SHIN-MEN" and a team of five Shinnosuke "SHIN-MEN" fights against pig faced villains "TON-MEN" in a parallel world "Shin Jigen (Shin Dimension)". The late Usui Yoshito had been fond of the idea of SHIN-MEN and the new series will be realized as one of the special projects commemorating the 20th anniversary of Crayon Shin-chan.

The first episode will be aired on November 26th and new episodes will be shown every month. The manga serialization will start on November 5th in Monthly Manga Town.

Looks okay. I totally adore Shin-Chan, it's definitely a part of my childhood and I can't wait for the episodes!

I don't see why they have to continue the series even though the author passed away...

i'd rather have dub/sub up to the last episode that aired then a new series

now the question is if the author would've wanted that....
