I was going to download it but the lack of seeds saddened me.
I enjoyed the first one to some extent, didn't play the addons because they were so glitchy that they were unplayable, I hope bethesda* have fixed the problems this time around, or will at least patch them.
I'll probably wait till ps3 version is cheap.

I'll wait till it's on the cheap, since right now I don't even feel like playing it. Only just completed Fallout 3 recently.

I finished it. It was so fucking short, if I knew in beforehand I wouldn't even have downloaded it... well, the original was 10x better than this. Half of the time you were just running around the wastelands doing nothing...

It has the world record for largest strategy guide, how is it possible that a mere person can finish the game in a day when it isn't released in your country yet?

Even so, i'm buying it so I won't get bored over halloween :)

If you've beaten it already, I'd like to know: When you beat the game, does it still allow you to continue playing and completing side quests like after FO3's Broken Steel DLC, or do you have to take care of all of that stuff before you finish the main quest?

Well the main campaign takes ~35 hours of playing if you skip all side quests. So, technically, I could believe R4yn0r finished the game, but only if he played 35 hours non-stop without any sleep and toilet breaks. :D Or if he's a staff member of the company that's making the localized version of the game in his country (this way he could've gotten the game earlier). Otherwise, obvious troll is obvious.

I have it rented from gamefly. So far its just like Fallout 3 with a few changes. The bugs ive seen so far were an enemy stuck in the floor and NPCs have clumsy walking paths. Did anyone else not get a chance to choose at perk at level 3? I only assigned points and then the level window closed. Thought you could choose a perk at every level.

You can only get leveling perks every other level. I'd looked at the perk list ahead of time and planned out what I'd wanted my character to have, but once I found out I didn't get a perk every level anymore, I realized my character is not going to be nearly as awesome as I'd previously thought.

It did take me a bit more than 9 hours to complete the game and
I skipped side quests which didn't interest me though. I played on Hard with Hardcore Mode on and it was only hard until you get your first incinerator and then a bit later the gauss rifle which trivialises the game... Btw, I went for the route helping Mr. House.

NO, you can't play after you've beaten the game. You only get a ~2 min long epilogue of what happened after you're done with the Main Quest. Well, since there are many ways to complete the game you could get those 35 hours full but this game didn't appeal to me as much as Fallout 3 did.

I didn't get this situation at the end though (beware major spoiler)

You can download mods which revert the change of not being able to get a Perk every level.

Playing on the 360. I can't download anything unless Microsoft says I can.

Also, you never answered my question.

So you have to finish everything before going to the last fight.

Preceded by a sentence about Hardcore mode, which I assumed the entire paragraph would be about. Fair enough.

Speaking of which, the concept of Hardcore Mode sounds fun, but I figured I'd try the game on its own my first time through. I probably wouldn't have trouble with food and water, but I imagine I'd forget about sleep pretty often, though.

Eh.

I'll probably probably get around to playing it eventually. ;/

It's basically just a glorified expansion pack anyways, hence why it isn't called "Fallout 4". ._.

There's not a whole lot new to this game, from what I've seen, just new weapons, location etc.. ;w;

I've had the same problem once but since I had barber and speech pretty high they didn't attack me.
The legion is pretty much the only threat though

It's a great game, but oh my fucking god, the glitches. I've had a major side quest break on me, I've had a quest glitch on me and the only way to complete it was to murder everybody in the casino, I've had the game lock up on me a good five or six times, I've had the frame rate go down to like 5-10 FPS, I've had loading screens taking up to 3 minutes, I've had characters becoming invisible and impossible to interact with, I've gotten stuck in the geometry several times and had to reload a save from like 15 minutes before, I've had NPCs that only give one choice of dialogue without any way to pick up the side quest or recruit them as a companion, and this one time I walked outside into the Mojave Wasteland and a whole caravan crew spawned in the ground right by the door stuttering and going crazy.

I love Fallout, but seriously, what the fuck?

Yeah, the bugs are certainly something which makes the gaming experience worse, especially the performance. Normally I had around 100-150 fps and sometimes my fps broke down to 10-20...

Ive bought the game.
Its got many many things new,but basically its just an expansion pack of Fallout 3.
Tho its a great game in its own right,Fallout 3 was better.
Thankfully I haven't experienced any bugs YET.

What pissed me off was seeing 'DLC Content' in the main game menu. They've already planned that they're gonna withhold some part of the game and then release it to us in the coming months.
I hate this new fad of downloadable content.

Unfortunately, I doubt we'll ever see a modern game without ragdoll physics. I just wish they could have left the ragdolls to death match shooters and worked on the rest of the game. It'd be something if I could return to the nostalgia that was Fallout 1,2, and tactics.

As for those of you waiting for torrents, I believe the ps3 iso was dumped a few weeks ago. I can't believe no one has cracked the windows version yet.

How many people are having fun with the pain-in-the-ass bugs. I cant talk to Arcade since ED-E has vanished. Meaning I cant go see the Enclave Remnants (and get the Prototype Telsa Power Armor) >_>

I also love how today I had Boone in my party, and I fast-traveled to the Crimson Caravan. Boone started killing people there and then turned round and said if I keep that up he'll make me regret it ._. when he was the one killing the good guys.

I seriously wonder if they even tested this game. Or just totally didnt bother and wanted money faster. Then again this is Obsidian. No surprises there.

Eh, I dunno. Seems like a expansion to F3 really.
If anything, I'll wait till they release a bundle with it and all the DLC like they did with F3.

You mean a Game Of The Year Edition. You'll probably be waiting a year or more until something like that comes out. They havent even announced DLC for New Vegas since it's only been recently released. And if it's anything like Fallout 3. You're gonna be expecting about 4-5 DLC's.

I'll do the same, it's better than paying £30 for a game then £30 for DLC.
Unless the GOTY edition is incredibly buggy when it comes out, which I bet it will be.
I'm in no rush to play it though.

freaking bugs.

I had to do the "guarding the silver rush" building in freeside mission about 6 times. Simon would not clear away the body.

Tell me about it. I mean it's almost put me off playing the game. I'm not a Fallout Fan, though I have played, completed, and own, Fallout 3, and did get all of it's DLC (I rented them all so I didnt really pay anything :D). Though when first playing New Vegas I did really enjoy it. Just all these bugs that keep appearing. I mean I dont know how many times i've seen enemies stuck in the ground >_>

Though I could be just me I mean. I also started playing Fable III. And I managed to when first playing the game glitch it so I couldnt continue and had to restart the whole game. Got stuck in a tree, glitched the weapon useage activation, glitched the enemy attack activation, glitched the treasure appearance and acceptance activation, and glitched the useage of the fast travel system :D

Bought it and played right when it went live. Played for 160ish hours in a matter of a week. I am taking a break until a DLC or get interested again. Worth the money in my opinion. Loads of fun.

So I cracked and decided to get New Vegas because it had a pretty nice price drop, but damn is it annoying me.
So many crashes, so much stuttering, even after the patch.

I really hope they throw another patch my way, just to cure all this crap.

Even the computer version has serious issues o_O Who thought it was a good idea to hand Obsidian, Fallout again?
