The tomogara itself was pretty lame actually. It looked like a cloud with eyes and the fight was too simple. Fuzetsu can move in real time when the time inside it frozen. I am not sure how that works. The point of the episode was to highlight the trouble ordinary humans go through in the ruthless world of tomogara. But I prefer the characters that were already introduced and would rather go back to them. The last scene was confusing. There might have been a time skip.

Also I wonder why we haven't seen the original Yukai Hirai's family. Shana has barged into her existence in the present story after all.

Yuuji and Shana should learn from this couple. Kissing scene after one date. However, I think it's fine it's been delayed for this long. At least, it's something to look forward to on S3.

Parted ways on that day? wait what? I'll just have to find out on S3.

Interesting prequel. Nice OST. It made me almost tear up. 8/10

For a story that only lasted 2 episodes, it was quite solid and even delivered emotional beats.
During the time Shana had taken in Junko's existence, you could see that Junko's memories and feelings were circulating through Shana, and Shana was trying to ignore them so they don't obstruct her mission. Even though Shana couldn't understand humans before coming to Misaki, she wasn't heartless. Her memories with Wilhelmina and her giving the bracelet to Yukio are nice signs. Shana didn't grow up near any humans, so she is fairly detached from them at that stage.

The epilogue and the cliffhanger must have been rough for people who watched Shana S back when it aired. The mystery and curiosity of what was going to happen, combined with having to wait for a year must have been hard to stay patient.

I honestly have always felt that the torches and how they fade out of existence was always one of the more interesting concepts of this series so I really enjoyed these past two episodes. Might actually have been my favorite so far.
