So, KyoAni decides to do what I believed to be impossible and make one last effort to milk the franchise for all it's worth. On one hand, as a huge fan of the franchise, I couldn't be happier. On the other, I fear it might ultimately fail to meet expectations.
I wonder what this movie will be about then, assuming it's not gonna be a retelling or recap.
Yui's inability to leave behind her high school days of tea-drinking and cake-eating has unexpected results as the light music club find themselves trapped in an endless time-loop, where every day is teatime. Ton-chan is unaffected by the effects of the time-loop, however, and reveals to the group the nature of their current situation. The only way to make time run its course once again is to unlock Mio's hidden powers of moe, but Mio seems hesitant to release the full extent of her powers for reasons unknown to the rest of the group.
Hahaha, now that's ludicrous - just how much does KyoAni plan to milk from this one series? It seems that A LOT, and something tells me that this movie is not the last production of this franchise. Mark my words.
And the funniest thing is that the whole fandom is happy as hell, almost drunk from happiness... there's this joke: You know what's the most important thing in backdoor position? To be in the back
And right now, in this very moment - KyoAni is in the back, while the whole fandom is... well, you know.
