| With all that stuff I said two chapters ago, this part was still brilliantly done and I now think the manga had the better idea with where they placed this flashback. |

| Hiluluk called chopper his son I'M IN TEARS RIGHT NOWWW!!! R.I.P Dr. Hiluluk, he was a true doctor who only cared about helping others and Chopper will live on thanks to Dalton to continue what Hiluluk wanted. I really love Daltons character, I really hope he lives... Also I like the dynamic of how Chopper ate a fruit to become more human and Dalton ate a fruit that makes him more of an animal Also a VERY satisfying punch from Luffy! I love how the backstory happened within not even a second of Luffy punching Wapol, I like how the punch continued right off from where it started |
| Hmm, he blew himself up so that it wasn't Chopper's mushroom that killed him. That was a great moment. Dalton is such a good guy. Amazing punch by Luffy. |
Easily the best one of these flashbacks we've seen. Not only was there a pretty sizeable chunk of stuff happening somewhat tangentially that felt realized, but Chopper received perhaps the finest introduction yet. I expected to like him but he's already won me over entirely. I haven't felt this into the actual plot of the manga since Baratie. Good stuff! |
