| ...and I had a feeling like reading manga soap opera. I read it because it's a classic, but most probably I'll never recommend it to anyone. The story telling is timeless, so argument that I don't see beyond it, are worthless. It's too much dramatic and exaggerated, art and story both. Mix of cartoonish and dramatic frames felt like mixing sour cucumbers with cake that has gone bad. If it didn't have name Tezuka under its title I doubt it would have such a high score. |
| Old man was stubborn till the end eh? At least he got what's coming to him in the end. Also, I was hoping for Izumi and Kirihito to finally have a proper reunion but this ending was good enough I guess. |
| Ugh, it was a chore to finish reading this. It was really interesting in the start but got too repetitive later on. :/ I'm a fan of Tezuka's one volume works, but not this one.. |
