| Eh, I'll need to see how the Mystogan reveal will be dealt with before I judge it, but personally I didn't like it. Natsu really needs new moves at this point, all his fights start to look the same. |

No excuses here; the fight was way better in the manga....the animators failed on this part. |

| It was nice seeing Mystogans powers animated.. but they coulda done a better job. And I agree that it was more dramatic in the manga when his face was revealed, it was a huge mindfuck. |

| mystogan vs. laxus was quite intense and good but like the others said..the manga is much better in depicting the fight (and also the way they revealed mystogan's face) =/ and OMG..i totally adore Erza's new requip <3 That one has to be my most favorite out of all her outfits (including all of the ones shown in manga so far)! | Pretty good episode, loved the action and Erza is wonderful as usual. I'm very much looking forward to the next episode, I almost wish Gajeel wasn't going to join in because I want to see Natsu kick Laxus butt on his own. But I s'pose Gajeel owes Laxus. A few things keep the episode from being great. After all that build up seeing Mystogan in action was awesome, loved the Tower of Babel and that Laxus almost crapped his pants. However that was all undercut by abruptly ending it and then revealing Mystogan is a Jellal look-alike. That reveal was more like 'WTF? That was stupid. Anyway, moving on." than "WTF? OMFG I can't wait to find out what's up!" My main issue with this arc remains, I don't buy Laxus' desire to take over Fairy Tail. He wants to surpass Makraov but hates what Fairy Tail is. I would think forming his own guild and having it surpass Fairy Tail and Makarov would be the way to go. If this was purely revenge for what happened with his father I'd buy it more. Makarov's on his death bed?! Yeah, he got warned to watch it, he's getting old, but he took out a Wizard Saint and walked away from the fight without breaking a sweat or being short of breath. Now he's about to die? Unsatisfying. |

| <Insert obligatory praise of the music> Mystogan vs Laxus didn't exceed my expectations but it was done quite well. Manga was better a bit but the soundtrack made it good so it's kind of even. Yeah, same reactions as when Mystogan revealed his face and left early. He's such a big troll, especially in the recently finished arc of the manga. His identity will be revealed after two arcs, if they decide to animate it up until that point. Why is the Thunder Palace taking so long to activate. One moment, Laxus said it's two minutes. After a bunch of fighting, it's one minute and thirty seconds? This isn't Goku vs Frieza lol. Triple Dragon...well, I can assume everyone knows who's the third dragon they're talking about. But what I'm totally psyched now is the news that the next arc will be animated |

| Laxus just came across as more of a brat in this episode.:p Yet I wouldn't mind his dad becoming a future villian. (no doubt he runs Phanom?) Erza, seriously; it doen't matter how much Mistgun covers up (he hasn't made a great deal of effort), use some common sense. Reminds me of Pokemon, back when I was a child; Team Racket would wear minimal disguise, yet still fool Ash and co. If somebody I knew wore a hoddie, I'd still recognise them. I wondered why the past few episodes have been so great; apart from MiraJane getting attention, the bore that is Gray was absent. |
