| Uh oh, the most logical answer to what is happening to Maeda in this episode is cancer (and probably a generalized, malignant one. At such a young age, he would logically die very quickly now. But we'll see, i'm not sure that story has the balls to pull this one, considering the rest of the story have been quite less harsh than that (as one of the recurring theme in there is hope, and facing adversity with both dignity and the help of your friends,too. Cancer is kind of the ultimate hope and dignity crusher. You face it alone, there's no hope, too). Let's see where this goes. |

| It always felt strange for Turtle to be so healthy after being so close to that fateful bombing, but I guess that even though he is a hibakusha, the effects of the radiation are still on him, I just hope he won't die. He was even scouted to a new business after losing the source of his merchandise; he deserves to live a long, healthy life with his friends, and with important people who he may yet meet. Poor Lily too, not that she trusted 100% that that man would marry her, but he even took her secret stash money with him, leaving her pretty much on the streets. But well, she has friends, or like the narrator said: family, so she isn't alone, and I believe Turtle will be able to help her. It was really satisfying when Mario punched that insufferable, and rude man too. |
