Use this post to nominate 1 anime song. Read the rules over on the main page and don't forget to upload your track someplace.

All nominations will be closed after 10 tracks are nominated or until next Sunday rolls around. After that, we'll proceed to a voting phase. Feel free to discuss your nomination or other people's picks in this thread.

Title: Mediational Field
Anime: Paprika
Composer: Susumu Hirasawa
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqCdptfpaTA

I love how this piece captures just what you're about to experience in this wonderful film, as shown in the opening montage scene that goes together with the song. You just don't get much better then this.

& i don't have the mp3 on my at the moment, so my apologies.

If Shiro hadn't posted that, I would have posted this, but this is obvs too similar, and maybe more Hirasawa focused than people might like. So I'll post this.

Title: Confrontational Paranoia
Anime: Paranoia Agent
Composer: Susumu Hirasawa
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuA3pCHRqWk

This was the piece from the OST that got me the most, maybe because of the sort of driving pace that it has.

Yeah i was gonna post that one, though out of the two, i heavily prefer the Opening version.

I actually have to confess that I never really liked any of Kon's work that I've seen (Paranoia Agent and Paprika) and never bothered to finish watching either. I do like Susumu Hirasawa though, and I don't need to have seen the film to nominate...

Title: Run
Anime: Millennium Actress
Composer: Susumu Hirasawa
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0P_c_FXpBw

Because it's a remix of Rubedo on Kenja no Propeller. Though the original is a better piece IMO.

That version is better, but it won in week 21 already.

3 nominations so far? :\ I guess there's not much material to draw from.

Note that tracks from shows/movies already nominated is totally okay. I mean, he didn't have a huge body of work.

FWIW, I'm going through Perfect Blue's OST. Without the benefit of having seen the film :P

Suggestion: the Paranoia Agent OP has been nominated multiple times and never won despite being fairly good.

In the interest of this theme not sticking around for another week, here's two:

Title: Rotation (LOTUS-2)
Anime: Millennium Actress
Artist: Susumu Hirasawa
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOiaE3jjjjk

(This one is a must-have for this week, because Kon himself specifically asked to use it as the film's ending theme, and Millennium Actress is the first time the pair collaborated)

Title: Chorale
Anime: Memories: Magnetic Rose
Artist: Yoko Kanno
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5EK1a6HWS0

(Kon wrote the film, but didn't direct it.)

Is six enough? (with courage) we can make it seven if someone has a Tokyo Godfathers nomination.

I listened to Tokyo Godfathers. To be honest, I'm not too keen on any of the tracks since they're... odd arrangements of popular tunes. Like Silent Night and Beethoven's ninth.

7th: Yume no Shima Shinen Kouen
Anime: Paranoia Agent
Artist: Hirasawa

If no one nominates anything else, I'll just toss in Lounge from Paprika and call it a day. :P
