I can't read any of that (except the numbers), but apparently it confirms that episode 9 will be delayed a week.

first saw it posted on animesuki cg boards

anyone who can read that want to confirm/deny?

Dammit you beat me to the thread.

Episode eight will still air this weekend, but episode nine will NOT be airing on June 1st as it had originally been scheduled. Instead there will be some sort of emergency filler show. I haven’t found an official reason, but others have speculated that it’s because of the Chinese earthquake tragedy, and that’d make sense since episode nine involves the Chinese Federation.

Lelouch was probably going to scaffold-collapse all of China, and it wouldn't be in good taste now.

Ok, I am really not making this up, this is by-the-hour coverage from 2ch:

Episode 9 is going to be replaced with some kind of live show with the voice actors, shot at a cross-dressing cosplay café in Akiba. It's being shot in a hurry - right now, on saturday. Some posters claim they have gotten in on it as extras.

No, really, I am not making this up, this is what is being reported, and at least partly confirmed by the official site.

Sadly I can only read kana, so I can't confirm this. Well I just hope they don't make unnecessary alterations to the storyline because of this. ^_^

Just finished reading the reports from a guy who got in as an extra, and it seems I was slightly off - apparently it was some kind of game show at a cross-dressing cosplay café with a bunch of comedians, not the actual voice actors or anything.

I am now REALLY curious if any of the subbers will do this one.

Well we have to give our bows to the people in China because of that earthquake and all the death lingering in China. Hope to not see any crazy people come out of that earthquake or people who are going into the darkness.

"bows to the dead."

Should I be waiting for a Nice Boat?

Poster in ep8 thread by myself.

There’s no new episode next week. It appears instead to be some Akiba special featuring comedian Arino Shinya, idol Natsukawa Jun, comedy duo Sandwichman, comedy duo America Zarigani, and new voice actress Miyake Hitomi (who is making her debut voicing a character named Meeya I. Hillmick that is supposedly going to start appearing in episode 12).

On the plus side... Jun Natsukawa - only my #1 J-Idol <3333333333

Uh. Does this mean that we will get a double episode in two weeks, or will every episode from 9 and onwards be aired a week after schedule?

It's pretty certain there will be no double episodes. It's not like the TV networks can just make an extra half hour of room just because some anime studio wants it.

Besides, it's entirely possible they delayed it because they were behind schedule and didn't have an episode to air in the first place. No reason has been given for the delay so far.

Yeah and they had two recap episodes on top of the last episode delay in the first season (which made no sense) so it was to be expected that R2 is behind schedule.

I won't mind if they cut out fanservice scenes :P

I don't know why people complain about the fanservice, it's not like it affects the story or takes up a big part of it.

I assume people complain about the fanservice because it break their suspension of disbelief - it's so blatant that it's there for pandering to the viewer, that you are taken out of the story when it appears.

When it comes to suspension of disbelief, though, I'd worry more about a million Zero costumes appearing out of nowhere than the little bits of fanservice.

Sorry for being late...

The pictures don't say much. Most of it is the summary of episode 8. Then on 6.01 there is a temporary break with episode 8 getting replaced by a special.

Apparently, the special features voice actors from Code Geass....(this is not from the picture but from the 2ch forums....) There is practically nothing on the pictures....

here is a 2ch link for those interested at CGR2 ratings and reactions from Japanese fans....

That's just a tiny side thread. The main threads are on http://ex24.2ch.net/anime/, but there's no point in linking to them as they fill up in less than a day.

I'm pretty disappointed that no fansubbers have taken up the task and translated the replacement episode, not even gg who claim to "exist to be annoying" (so much for that promise). It seems hilariously stupid.

You'd better not to watch the replacement program. It humiliated fans and Director Taniguchi. I felt really bad after watching it.

I'm not quite that thin-skinned, myself. And Taniguchi does deserve a bit of a rubbing for turning season 2 into such a trainwreck.

Episode 9-10 preview... Is next's week ep a double episode? or did they just release two different previews at once.. Leaves me confuzzled thinking.. or rather.. hoping next weeks is a double, but i'm pretty sure i'll wind up being dissappointed with a single anyways. But still better than nothing! Go geass!
