Well, you seem to have answered it yourself. You're a girl who likes yuri that isn't a lesbian.

On another note, did anyone else notice that amazon.com has a yaoi section, but not a yuri?

Hey, it's easy.
If you're a girl/boy who likes yuri/yaoi, you definitely have some kind of attraction to your own sex.
If you masturbate while watching it, you're at least bi.

That's not surprising, considering the low amount of yuri mangas with english translation...

And if somebody likes Lolicon, is he/she a pedo? And futanari...?
There's thankfully a difference between fiction and reality

i dont think that it would mean that you were gay or bi unless you were sexually attractive to the characters taking part. It just means that you find forbidden relationships cute or something, which is perfectly normal.

i know a girl who watches lots of yuri and she is 100% straight (i think) and very cool too

He is sexually attracted to little children.
Futanari is for people who like both girls and dicks.

Well who knows, there is 100% people who are too much obsessed about little girls (lolis) and I could freely call them pedos..Sometimes fiction and reality mix with each other for some people, if you get what I'm saying.

Yes. Fuck, what other reason could you give for watching/reading futafuckingnari?! If you don't have any attraction to it, you'd be disgusted.

I get it, but you've already mentioned it: SOMETIMES
Maybe there are pedos who are interested in lolicon, but that doesn't make everone a pedo who is interested in lolicon

How the hell should I know? What is the reason for watching tentacle rape hentai? A wish to get raped by tentacles? I don't think so...

The reason is that tentacle rape turns that particular person on. Don't argue with me if you don't have a better explanation.

People who like futa are just a little withdrawn, had bad experiences with women or very permicious (my spelling sucks) but don't actually like real hermaphrodites.

Lolicon =/= Pedo

Doesn't make you a lesbian. It could just mean you are kinda bi. I'm the same way. I actually prefer f/f over m/f or m/m, and I am def. not lesbian...just not what you would call straight, either. But maybe it's mere curiosity. It depends on the person and why they like what they like. But I prefer not to say 'lesbian' or 'gay' just because someone is into things pertaining to same sex relations to their own sex, though it is at least indicative that someone might be going through experimental stages in regards to their own sexual identity.

This is hilarious.

I watch all kinds of loli/shota hentai, and you know how it affected me? I now despise children in RL even more because they're never cute like they are in hentai. Case closed.

Same here, I just can't stand children, they lack the class, cuteness, and talent that a 2D loli or shota does in regular anime or hentai. I'll never meet a sweet high class girl like Aria in real life, she's too much like a lady in her mannerisms, a RL high class girl Aria's age tends to be really bratty and very selfish and mean.

I share the opinion of Sonic_Moronic and Hoppy, anime lolis have made me hate children, though I didn't exactly like them to begin with. (In case anyone says, I know I was most likely just like them at that age)

Liking a yuri/yaoi anime is different to being sexually aroused by it. I've seen both and it hasn't affected my orientation whatsoever, though I am perhaps more understanding of gays/lesbians now.

Or for guys.
I think typical straight guys like bisexual girls as it increases the chances of a threesome with two women.

FYI i'm straight, just not typical. =p Not really bothered about relationships or sex.

True I don't mind bis in real life, I would like one as long as she isn't a slut who will go after everyone (she needs to have me and one established girlfriend) but in anime/manga it's ok unless cheating is involved then it just kills it for me.

Yuri and yaoi are not made for homossexuals.

An alternative form of ganbang, envolving supernatural creatures? Easier to make since you don't have to make like 5 diferent guys

Also tentacles is more tasteful than gangrape by 5-6 guys, trust me it's not pleasant to look at and rather have vines, branches, or tentacles doing the dirty work.

If you're female and read it, you must have atleast some attraction to women. If you're male and read Yaoi, you must have atleast some attraction to men.

I think those sorts of Manga are MADE to be for people who are interested in that sex. That's the way I see it anyway.

It's like guys, you find that some read Yuri because they like the idea of female on female, and girls read Yaoi because they like the idea of male on male.

But if you're interested in deliberately going out and reading it (I don't really think this counts with Shojo-ai as much, since it's light romance not containing sexual situations) , I think you definitely have to be slightly bi-curious.

Well, they're not. Special shounen ai, yaoi, which is made for girls. The whole relationship is a fantasy, in real life it's completly diferent. Bara is ment for gay men, idk if there is a similar genre to female on female.
Yuri and shoujo ai is made for guys.
It's like shounen and shoujo.

Deleted numerous pointless/trivial posts. Please put thought in to replies if you want to post.

As for me, I'm not really a fan of romance at all, whether yuri, yaoi or straight. Though that's usually just because canon pairings are stupid and unbelievable. Hypothetically I'd have no problem with any of it if the story appealed in other ways (eg sufficient comedy).

But I digress. I don't think someone liking a particular genre makes them anything. They just like stuff that genre has to offer, for any of countless reasons.

You don't see what I mean. I meant that I feel that this genre Manga is made for those who are interested in either sexual pairing, either female x female or male x male. Whether it be male readers or female readers, it's made for those that are interested in homosexual pairings.

Meaning that when I said "MADE to be for people who are interested in that sex." that sex was referring to if they were reading about Yuri or Yaoi pairings.

Well, it's perfectly normal for guys to like Yuri, but if they like Yaoi, I'd imagine they'd have some form of sexual attraction to it because, quite frankly, I... just don't see why a guy would like that otherwise =.=

As for girls, I don't really have the right to comment of this but I find it almost surprising that so many girls like Yaoi... haha. Either way, there's nothing wrong with a girl liking it, and not to sound biased but it just seems a fair lot more normal for a girl to like Yuri than for a boy to like Yaoi. Whatever the case though, if you enjoy it... there's nothing wrong with that. It doesn't have to mean anything...

Lolicon, on the other hand, is something I just don't get. I don't like kids irl, and I'm certainly not attracted to them in anime/manga. They can be cute, but nothing more... that's just the way I see it :p

I am a straight guy...
I occasionally will read yaoi manga, but only on occasion, and only when it is highly recommended, just to keep an unbiased opinion of manga I feel it is important to read all genres if you don't offend easily... I think it depends on how much you read and you intentions and feelings at the time... (just cause you see a dick in the locker room, don't mean your gay... you should be comfortable enough with your sexual identity you think nothing of it; although you may want to reconsider if you look and think..."that is just fine... real dandy like" :P )

I don't think reading/watching yaoi/yuri makes you gay/lesbian.
I think they should be considered like other manga/anime genres.

McNagah said:

That's all about the looks, you have girls drooling over muscled men and you have girls that prefer guys with a more feminine look. The same applies to buys.
Is like asking if a person who likes fat people wishes to be or is fat.

^I'm straight and I like to read some shounen ai, and I don't think that I might be gay nor do I feel attracted to other guys, in other words I'm certain about my sexual orientation.
I also don't like yuri

All you need to do is to turn on the monitor and the yuri/Yaoi is just right in front of you.^_^
I think most people who prefer Yuri/Yaoi in Anime are not lesbian/gay.

I don't get this, How can I watch two guys fucking each other and not be gay???

If I watch gay porn, it's most likely because I'm gay or bi-curious, I think the same should be applied with Yaoi.

I'm not hating on anyone, I don't have any ill feelings towards gays, but; if I started to watch Yaoi, I would think I'm no longer playing for the "straight" team.

I don't think that's the same, killing is frowned upon by society, there's nothing wrong with being gay.

Yaoi may be fiction in terms of the characters and story, but the actual act is something that happens in real life EVERYDAY, killing is not OK by any terms, unless it's a war.

This reminded me of something from a movie or show I've seen. Don't recall what it was exactly, but the joke/arguement was that everyone's a little gay/curious. Sure, you watch straight porn, but don't you love it when the guy blows all over the girl?

So no, I don't believe watching/reading yaoi/yuri makes you gay. Everyone's just a little curious and everyone watches it for different reasons.
