| Zero no Tsukaima Comedy - Your standard harem romcom antics Action - Yes Epic Fight Scenes - lone swordsman vs. army of 70,000 Cool Weapons - magic wands, Legendary Wisecracking Sword, RPGs, circa WWII fighter plane, and more Main characters Guy/Girl/not weak - Louise/Saito: both start off as weak but get stronger at an approximatly equal rate Blood+ Comedy - not much; mostly just comic relief in between dark angsty scenes Action - yes Epic Fight Scenes- and bloody too Cool Weapons - Saya's Katana, Saya's Blood, A cello case in the shape of a coffin, arm swords, double-edged scythes, a couple axes and hammers, a variety of guns and explosive bullets Main characters Guy/Girl/not weak - Haji/Saya Phantom Comedy - No; it's about assassins Action - yes Epic Fight Scenes- not generally a lot of participants but yes Cool Weapons - Kickass guns Main characters Guy/Girl/not weak - Ein/Zwei Edit: Also, if it's not too dark for your tastes: Hellsing Ultimate Comedy: the juxtaposition of chibi scenes and nihilistic nazi vampires is a bit jarring, but it's there. Action: and violence Epic Fight Scenes- It's what the OVA's known for Cool Weapons - Alucard's magnum, Seras's Harkonen and Harkonen II, Walter's killer dental floss, and Rip Van Winkels homing bullets Main characters Guy/Girl/not weak - Alucard/Seras not much of any romance, Alucard initailly has a lot of contempt for her not-full-vampire status but she can generally hold her own in most fights. |

| Black Lagoon The ultimate action anime. Simple as that. You ain't gonna see more badass females than in this show. Lot's of cool guns,grenades, bazookas, axes, even army helicopters and torpedoes. Whatever you want is there. Pullets are flying for most of the time of this show. Your only problem is that the main girl is the strongest while the guy isn't much of a fighter. |
