Boredom brought me to the internet which led me to Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star during spring break earlier this year. When I was 18; I'm 19 now.
But I also watched a bunch afterwards the spring semester and a bunch this summer, so that pretty much sealed the deal.
13 years old. I got into it through a j-pop song a friend made me listen to and I actually liked it. After listening to them for a while(you might call me a fan(boy)), I joined a forum oriented for j-pop and it had an anime forum. And from there it went on untill where I am now :).
Well when I was younger I use to watch Cardcaptor,Sailor Moon,Yugioh,Digimon and Beyblade I was like 5 then xD when I first watch mature anime I was like...
11 I think something but im glad I got into anime!
I was about 13 when my friend introduced me to Naruto. I gave it a try since a few people I knew were into it, and I loved it. From there I eventually found my way to the core anime fanbase and discovered my current anime favorites.
Well I was about 10 years old when I watched Pokemon but I didn't know then what anime is. And I was under 5 years old when I watched Moomin so I don't really count them - I can't even think that Moomin is anime!
But when I really started to watch anime and got into it I was 14 or 15 years old when I watched DN Angel for the first time.
Honestly? I only started getting into it when I was sixteen, a bit less than two years ago. Before I only followed Naruto and it's sequel, and although I enjoyed it a lot I wouldn't say I was into anime as a whole.
After I started watching other anime, I've never really stopped. It's entertaining as hell, more so than simply gaming. It's just awesome what people's imagination can create :)
If you are talking about when I REALLY got into it, it's probably at 12 years old. But if you are talking about when I first liked it and aware that it is anime, like 4. I have no idea what my very first anime is though since I was very exposed to animes and mangas ever since I was so little.
