| Well it is a slapstick, comedy, gag anime and if that stuff isn't your cuppa tea I wouldn't recommend it. Although personally I love it. |
| parody anime, its best if you know a bit of japanese culture and some knowledge on older anime series otherwise you might not get the jokes, but a great comedy anime to watch. |

| Everyone always bitches about the first few episodes in any show.... It's called a beginning. It may seem confusing at first but that is called. You're not supposed to understand everything right away, but in 200+ episodes, you'll understand the Gintama universe, and most likely love it. |
