DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- It looks like Masamune can't use his right arm to its full potential, at least he still have another :) Kenshin and Kasuga should just push their relationship into the next level^^ It looks like a big battle is taking place in the next episode, I doubt Date is going to have an easy win against Kenshin this time. |

| I fully agree: the best episode so far! I loved Masamune's recollection on him and Kojuurou, and how he emphasized again that Kojuurou was there to protect his back. The scene was simply great, exactly like it should be. I loved Masamune proving him wrong about the real loyalty, that it was not taking one's own life but staying by the other's side that mattered. And Masamune taking/borrowing Kojuurou's sword as a replacement for one of his Claws - it was gorgeous. I still don't like Hanbei and I don't expect it to change soon. As for Keiji, I'd rather see him doing something useful finally, for example helping Kojuurou. Nice as he is, I'm getting bored with him. Perhaps it's just a cruel world... But I cannot disagree with Hanbei calling him like he called him. Can't wait for Masamune's and Yukimura's next meeting ;) |

| This was another interesting episode in that, while there wasn't as much action, some characters were given a bit more depth. I definitely enjoyed it (I always enjoy SenBasa), but I had been hoping to see more of Mouri and Motochika :__: Luckily Date's Engrish was top notch! |
| This is still being awesome. Because Date's Engrish is awesome. (And various other things.) Also, Oyamada looks a bit like a younger Katakura. |

| Oh man, so much awesome Engrish in this ep. xD I'm really wanting some more screen time from Motochika and Mouri though~ This episode did lack action, but it does seem to build up for some big action next episode! |
| I like how they don't assume the audience is thick-skulled and needs to be led by the hand, but simply switch between flashback and present day seamlessly. It aggravates me to no end when every little detail is spelled out for the viewer. "So, now we're going back in time. You think you can handle that? Oh, watch out, we're at present-day again. Hope you're following this. Would you like us to display dates so you know for sure?" aaaargg that annoys me. Thank goodness they don't feel the need to do that here. Date and Katakura having each other's swords is a nice detail. Now, remember your lesson, Katakura. No trying to off yourself with that sword, ya hear? And the little birdies on Date's helmet - even more insight into the man's soul. Great episode. This series, though overwhelmingly action driven, isn't strictly battle-centric, so character building of this sort is expected and necessary. Keep it up. |

| I loved the jumping between different timelines. I didn't think it was possible, but Masamune got 50x more awesome when he punched Kojuurou at the beginning of the episode <3 |

| This episode didn't need any action and was one of the best so far. It really showed the bond between Date and Kojuuro. I really miss the Right Eye and hope Kanbe gets a death 100 fold more painful than Mitsuhide. I gained some more respect for Kenshin this episode. When he wants to say or teach something, he does it with actions. I still don't understand the name on Kojuuro's Sword, I guess it will be explained later on. 5/5 |

| Great episode. It really showed us the relationship between Date and Koujiro. I first thought Koujiro must be pretty stupid for trying to kill himself just because Date injured his arm but when I found out the real reason I was surprised. I really gained even more respect for Koujiro this episode. I wonder what Keiji is going to do next. It looks like he won't be able to get to Hideyoshi through his words. |

| Uesugi Kenshin said Masamune's the only one suitable to rival the Tiger of Kai's cub.. was he talking about Yukimura? seriously? Masamune's already kicked his ass. There's no rivalry anymore but if there's going to be another one then it'd be against Hideyoshi. Hope Kojuro and Masamune reunites soon |

| Kenshin bring a moral support by blockade the path to make Masamune calm. Damn, he is good too. Masamune seems back to his self but without Right Eye. Can't wait to see Masamune full power again. |
