| I've laughed at Detroit Metal City probably more than I've ever laughed at anything else. I really need to get around to reading the manga... Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is my favorite comedy anime, though. I didn't laugh as much as with Detroit Metal City, but the art style and cleverness give it a huge edge. Minami-ke is somewhere between slice-of-life and regular comedy. Either way, it's awesome. |

| There is not enough Honey and Clover in this thread. Sure, most of the comedy is in season one and the show isn't solely focused on it, but many times it's soooo much funnier than most anime. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei also rules and, even though I haven't seen the anime version of it yet, if GTO is anything like the manga it's hilarious. |
