Rewatching this anime.

I remember it being very good and humorous at some times with good action.

Random anime I picked up so I'm not really expecting much. I can say that I never want to hear the words "Lucky" or "Unlucky" again any time soon

It gets much more interesting after the first few episodes, and at about episode 11 or so, things really start moving.

Wow, actually this turned out to be something I didn't expect. I liked this episode, Van is a really interesting chara and the atmosphere is quite absorbing. I'm looking forward where this is going~

Not very promising start, but I was told that it starts slow and get's better after some episodes.

The "lucky" guy was annoying as hell.

It was meh for most of the part, but I like the romance part.

I am praying to god there is no "romance part" . . . I mean the girl is like . . . 10 and he is probably 30 . . . anyways, this series was definitely a let down. I really thought it would be a lot less cheesy, although I guess the fact it looked like a western styled anime yet had "mecha" in it should have clued me off. Oh well.

If it is a love without physical intimacy, do you still think that it's wrong?

I did not know this was a show with giant robots. that caught me off guard. I laughed with the whole bride and virgin talk. Two leads are interesting so far and on to the next episode witch seems to have boobs according to the preview.

This anime is trigun+bebop+some random mecha, nothing new but still good in comparison to others

Why does anime always lay on gimmicks so thick? It's like each time they think "eh... Is this gonna turn out shit?" they just pile on another goofball, random gimmick. A western-themed anime is an idea with potential... But a western-themed anime, PLUS an 18th century sci-fi world, PLUS giant mechs fighting with swords that drop in from orbit, PLUS some weird, pseudo-magical tech PLUS cheezy, 70s, disco-themed bad guys?!?

I suppose thats what you get for a medium pitched mostly at teenagers

meh, it was ok

i've got questions though. why do they keep saying he's wearing a tuxedo? why did the "luck" guy make that face when he saw the card (king of spades) under van's joker? so van is immortal, or...?

i assume the armor mechas will be explained at some point, along with claw hand and why van hates him

but i hope this girl stops with her marriage talk. she's a child and van looks like a grown ass man

this doesn't make me think of Trigun (which I loved) or Bebop (which i thought was mediocre) at all. this first episode was more like mad max

5/10 first episode

Wendy is cute. Van should stop brooding and take her up on that marriage proposal.

Otherwise, this anime is looking tonally and narratively similar to the manga so far. But I think the manga was more digestible, since these wacky parodic plots don't lead well to 24 minute episode format before running their gimmick thin.
