| OK, just forget my old message, don't really think so anymore... or... >.< dunno Liked this episode quite a bit, though it was a lot more boring than the other ones, felt like nothing happened and Hell girl was only in it for 1 min or so. This felt like a preparations for the next episode-episode, so the next ones got to be great, I can feel it. |

| Well he learned something new, but not us. Well we now understand she is vastly older than we might of expected. Sort of disappointed, nobody to pity this episode since the curse wasn't directly showed. |

| @ Shirale, I think she's even older than the Sengoku period. I mean "Hell" excists as long as people believe in god and/or in the supernatural. That was even before they could write, right? The first humans couldn't write but they did believe in something that caused thunder/rain/earthquakes/snow/ice/sunshine etc... right? I mean why shouldn't she already exist then? Of course she would've used an other way of letting them get their revenge since they couldn't write but I think she's as old as "humans"? But that's just what I think... Great episode, hope we'll get to see more background on Enma and the Hell Correspondence :) |

| loved this episode, nice to get a bit of information about Enma, and the crying painting was very well done.... She did seem kinda upset when taking the man to hell, but i dunno! Also liked how in the old times she used mail.. and now its gone more modern into the internet.. liked that alot! This show does seem to be getting better, just very slowly! Just hope it continues!! |
| So we're moving on from the norm to learning about Ai's past. In a way, that's good. The show was starting to get repetitive. |

| So Enma is about 500 years old. I'm curious as to what the other Hell Correspondence methods have been -- I have to imagine the postal service has been used in various ways for a while. |

| The old man was so beautiful in this episode, together with Emma Ai. It feels like a reunion of the two. Emma Ai sympathize for the living (good one's) and she spared the old man feelings, regarding his wife being there. I guess, only in Christianity, you go to hell, if you kill yourself. |

| Poor girl.. for instance, she sees things she doesn't want to see and when she doesn't expect it to happen, and also the Hajime-chan guy quuestions her about it aaall the time. The crime story portion is getting more and more interesting. |

| Great episode! Finally we get something different. I was wondering how people contacted Ai prior to computers, so I'm glad they explained that. Oh and its not really surprising that Ai is that old...considering who she is. Also this is the first episode where we've seen an adult use hell correspondence. ( I don't count that business chick since she never actually used it herself) |

| Nice to see some character development for Ai. She really needed it. This was definitely the most unique episode and one of my favorites thus far. I'm so mad at myself for skipping this one by accident. |

| "人の様は、縁と申します。" onto this quote, I would like to add a following one to it: "偶然ではなく、必然だ。" The overarching theme of death and life is for once, amplified in Jigoku Shoujo after 12 episodes worth of gradual development and over a series of revenges, make us viewers wonder on the foolishness, or possibly, the inevitability of the choices humans make at times. To dispel our doubts, we believe in the concept of a higher order with omnipotence, whom controls over our destiny. Jigoku Shoujo seals that destiny of the people - those who have made a permanent, immutable contract with her. One wouldn't deny that she, herself, is actually suffering from the "sins" she has done upon others, but it is the sealed fate which will forever force this upon her, which is as of yet, not revealed. Fate indeed, also brought Shibata-san to know the truth. Everything can said to not be coincidences, but inevitability, akin to the above quotes. We shall see what "they" are planning to do with Shibata-san. "いっぺん、死んでみる？" |

| I liked their story, two lost souls met in RL and then they will reunite in hell. I can understand teachers logic to the extent of dreaming to leave, because life is really tiring |
