Well, it was stated that the mistake was made once previously, and now we finally get to see it. Seems like a bit of foreshadowing going on in this episode... possibly hinting at how the mistake will end again?

Very intense episode.
I got the creeps when he woke up, as a human again, with Harumi's arms and all his dead man around him...
I probably regret this post by now.

NOOO! Yuka, I did not want to believe that you were the one to kill your beloved's father. This is quite possibly one of the best love story's I have ever come across. It's very saddening but throughly intense and enjoyable which is why i think i love this series. I love finding out where the title came from and what this style of fight actually is. SO INSANE. love this series so far and hope to have completed it by the end of the day. (;

I don't think it's definite yet but Yuka really killing Toshihiko's father would make a great twist.

Nice backstory, that sure was interesting to know some of the origins from the characters! Lets see what's next.

So wait . . . Does that mean that Yuka killed Toshihiko's father? Or was it Harumi who somehow didn't die all those years ago . . . Plus why did he need to cut off her arms to do the kemonozume, wouldn't any Flesh eater's arms work? Or was it because it was her arms that it worked . . .

Oi-oi, is this a joke?
If Yuka's "boohoohoo I'm innocent please believe meeee" was a facade, I am so done with this shitfest. Hopefully the next episodes will show that's wrong.

This is getting pretty complicated. I think Yuka is the daughter of Harumi from her previous husband and Toshihiko from his father's first wife making them not blood related. Kazuma is Toshihiko's father and Harumi's son so Toshihiko and Yuka is his half-siblings and he is a half-flesheater. So complicated.

Yea i was kind of perplexed why he had to sacrifice Harumi's arms when there are other flesh eaters out there. Overall great back story. I hope Yuka wasn't the one that killed his father.

It may have been because they didn't have any captured arms left or that flesheaters weren't that common during that time period or at least not as common as they are now. But still I would not have sacrificed Harumi at all.

I don't think Yuka killed Toshihiko's father though, it just doesn't add up.

Still waiting to see what that device Rie slipped under Toshihiko's collar will do to the story.

Really great flashback episode, enjoyable while also explaining a few things.
That last scene is a nice teaser on what kind of drama will surely follow as a result once he finds out

I find it ironically hilarious that Kazuma is a half flesh eater. This has been a really good show so far.

Not really sure what tone this show is going for. First episodes had a nice campy thing going on, now full-on serious?

Like what this episode explained about Yuka, but the characters were boring along with most of the episode.

"Kifuken Trimuvirate" cool name.

The eponymous Kifukken technique is interesting. To become the only thing powerful enough to destroy that which you despise the most: a monster...

Nice to point out that the director chose tradition and honor in the end by replacing his substituted limbs with wooden prosthetics

Interesting backstory for sure but they're showing so many elements while it was very slow before so it's getting a bit confusing to be honest

The main storyline so far does not convince me one bit because of how sudden they "fell in love" and the man was eager to throw away everything he learned and lived for his whole life. Thus I found the main storyline a bit better because, although it is basically the same, at least more time happens in it, and it shows the consequences of that.

Interesting to note why Toshihiko's dad has prosthetic arms in the future and why Toshihiko has so much difficulty killing Flesh Eaters. Kazuma being a half-flesh eater will probably destroy his psyche when he learns about it.

Overall, an interesting episode, although probably a bit too soon to be showing flashbacks.
