True, Watanabe has a crush on Hyatt, Iwata has a thing for Misaki, & Excel is madly in love with Il Palazzo, but none of these relationships is taken seriously, as they are one-sided and used only for comical relief. At least, that's what I've thought from watching the whole anime and reading more or less 10 volumes of the manga. I don't know if the romance situation changes later on in the manga, but I have very serious doubts about it, since Koshi-sensei never seemed much interested in having romance in his manga. |

| lmao, Watanabe can indeed be creepy at times. Anyway, this doesn't change my mind: nothing actually and seriously romantic happens in Excel Saga. Not yet, at least. |
