| Even after re-watch, this is still one of my favourite episodes. The tension created at the start in the scene with Jet and Spike was amazing, and Spike falling from the church is one of the most memorable scenes in the whole series. For those of you who have not yet completed Cowboy Bebop, do not click the spoiler below if you do not wish to be spoiled. If, like me, you are currently re-watching this fantastic show, then please do. |

| That was the best episode so far. Holy shit, everything was executed flawlessly from the introduction of Vicious to the glimpse of Spike's past. The OST that was playing in the background as Spike fell was fucking amazing. |

| "What's wrong? If you don't comply- *Bang* Man, Spike was a badass in this one. Seeing his past catch up to him was amazing.  Comedic ending to a dramatic episode, I like. |
| Damn that was pretty good, even after this episode has been hyped to no apparent end (Ex. "If you're really worried about whether you like cowboy bebop just watch episode 5." Heard that 1 million times haha, for the record I watch 1-5). Now I'm even more curious about his back-story, I want to know more about it. Spike definitely sustained some injuries from this episode.. I think I watched at least the end of this episode a long time ago, because I remember that Spike falling from a church window scene. I was probably watching it 2-3am in the morning as a kid haha. I never watched bebop all the way through, I can only remember watching 2-3 random episodes late at night and never the first episode.. |

| Amazing episode! Finally some story progress. So Spike was part of a syndicate with Mao and Vicious was one of his comrades. I knew Vicious is voiced by Norio Wakomoto, but was really surprise how young he sounds compared to his usual deep voice :) I'm guessing Mao took Spike when he was young and no goal in life. Really hope we get to know more of Spike's past and why he quit the syndicate. Why did Anastesia though he was dead 3 years ago? I'm sure Vicious survived that blast :P Glad Faye and Jet saved him. Faye was just caring for Spike and he had to blew it! Can't wait for the next episode! Seems we're back to the usual bounty stuff. I'm guessing this is similar to Stand Alone Complex we're the bounty stuff are the "Stand Alone" episodes while the deep and story driven ones are the "Complex" episodes. |
| My god that episode was the best I've seen in an anime in a long time. Just the way they did the falling scene with Spike, and the music playing, with the flashbacks, just perfect, almost too perfect. I agree about Faye, she was fucking hot as hell in this episode, I had a boner the whole time lol. |

Oh shit, he actually got shot!" Hahaha. Idk how he survived that fall though š³ This episode only teased us a bit of Spikes past, but didn't go into any detail.. I wanna know more! :p |

| Ehh, this episode was alright. This series definitely isn't as amazing as everyone has said it is so far. It's interesting, and stylistic, but so far hasn't had any wow factor. The scene where he was falling with the flashes of his past was awesome and I'm curious to learn more about him, but the rest of the episode, along with most of the series up to this part, has been a complete bore fest. Gonna keep watching though since it looks like the story will actually pick up now |
