THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

I'm still amazed they turned this into an anime. It seems so much more wrong in animated form.

Hehe well, you aren't exactly the target audience for it ^_^;

This is a series aimed at educating young girls. The subject matter is quite unusual for anime, and in fact, the only other series I can think of that deals with the same situations is Mizuiro Jidai which is based on manga by the same author as Naisho no Tsubomi. However, while Yuko was a little bit less clueless than Tsubomi, she also faced similar challenges dealing with the awkwardness of growing up. Poor Tsubomi was amazingly uninformed, and her loudmouthed friend certainly didn't help. ^_^ Yabuuchi Yuu's artwork sure has become impossibly cute over the years!

I had thought this oav series would over one volume of the manga per episode, but it looks like that they are going to use all three oavs to cover volume 1 only. That's cool, it allows for a more complete story :) I look forward to the next episode ^^

I should've checked the MAL info on this before I started downloading. It's so wrong seeing all this animated. Everything else is terribly generic and it's so obvious that Saya is the Tsubomi's sister that's about to be born bla bla... dropped and shreddered.

The purpose is to help educate little girls. This anime is for elementary school girls, but all the pedos are watching it because of the lolis in their underwear -_- So obviously, any plot twists and turns are not going to be too surprising to a more sophisticated audience (anyone older than 10, lol)

I am not sure when the next one will be out.

i read this awhile back. it seemed faithful to the manga. the sub i watched had some unnatural translations so it felt a little awkward, but overall it was good i guess.

i didn't know this was only 3 episodes, so i thought it would cover at least few volumes but it does seem like it'll only do the first one.

The first episode was pretty much what I expected; not exactally fine literature, but super-cute. That girl's parents need to get her a puberty book, stat!

I'd be quite worried if they were older than that and still didn't understand puberty. ^_^;

oh, these little earthquakes

The second volume isn't the same characters and isn't exactly a kids sex-ed series anymore. I found volume 2 tiresome.

Woah

That school needs some sex edd.

As it is now I see a love triangle forming- will it be Tsubomi x Saya OR Tsubomi x The dude...

Only time will tell~!

Lol, GUYS. It's supposed to be an educational series for kids, not pedos. I thought it was cute and it reminded me a bit of my childhood(of course, I knew what sex was in third grade, though...).

...is it just me or does anyone else's yuri sense tingle with Saya and Tsubomi? :s I'm kind of interested in seeing what happens next, heh, even if it's not OMGEXCITING or OMGSOFTCORELOLIPORN....

Exactly. I bet there are SO MANY girls like the one's this anime is meant for who sit in front of µtorrent waiting for this anime sub to finish downloading... ...

Goes beyond my comprehension why Froth-Bite and Ureshii decided to sub this now too.

Haha, just my thoughts.
I was really like "wtf" when I saw this OVA and thought "Y haven't you read anything before watching this?"
Oh well, I'll better forget that I ever saw this.

If girls as clueless as the ones in the show know how to use utorrent or the Internet, then theres no point in watching this.

One thing I found extremely funny after reading this thread was all the people saying "the only people watching this are pedos and lolis" well guess what, you're watching it right now you hypocrites! Personally, I thought this was going to be more cute cute with romance and jokes and stuff. Turns out I was wrong. Still pretty funny seeing how middle school girls react to things they have no idea about. Like the word Ecchi lol.

I wasn't sure what to expect but well this sure had an interesting story and I really wonder what's up with this Saya girl and what is up with that shared dream? Either way it had quite a nice story attached to it so let's see what's next!

i like how its actually informative on the certain topics.. and its put in a way that a young girl would be able to make sense of and relate to. though i did find it weird how the mom went "now youre able to have kids" ..kinda weird thing to tell your 10 year old daughter idk
