lolicons aren't a marginalized group. I am talking about actual groups marginalized by society, such as race, gender, and sexual orientation, not your controversial fetishes. There's a difference between being disliked for having a controversial kink vs immutable qualities about your personhood.

The fans are often hatefully insulted or even dehumanized, even though they don't harm anyone, but it's popular to hate them so almost nobody else cares. |

There's just no way that anime fans can actually sink low enough to think that people being disgusted by lolis is comparable to the real life violence and erasure that queer people, people of color, and women face. |

The irony is that I have seen some haters unknowingly befriend closet fans, which I find oddly amusing. |
