But like full blown 3 minute or more sex scenes with the camera going everywhere seems rlly unnecessary to me. I think theirs a tasteful way to do sex scenes if the show isn’t already an ecchi or catering to that stuff. Nana is a show that does this well. |

In a plot focused show, scenes shouldn't just be added for no reason, they need to have a narrative purpose. You can't just randomly throw a sex scene in without narrative purpose in a time limited medium such as TV or film. If it genuinely adds nothing to the character development, themes, or plot, it shouldn't be added as otherwise that is just unnecessary padding. |

| Yes, but only if it treated sex "seriously" and not as if sniggering teens were its target audience. The manga Warikitta Kankei desukara, for example has a toxic relationship in it with the added baggage of personal drama, sprinkled with explicit lesbian sex scenes. I would definitely watch it animated. Or there is an other manga Octave that has some sex scenes in it (as part of a healthy relationship), again I wouldn't mind if it were animated explicitly, but I don't think that story ever will be made into an anime and treated the way it deserves. |

| I’m kinda hesitant about mixing regular seasonal anime with hentai. The thing is, these two genres have very different goals and target audiences. Regular anime usually wants to tell stories that everyone can enjoy, while hentai focuses on adult content that clearly isn’t for everyone. But honestly, I do like the idea because it’s something different and more daring than usual. Sometimes watching anime that tries new things makes the experience more interesting and less repetitive. On one hand, mixing the two could make the show unique and give it its own flavor, especially if done well, blending the story and adult elements smoothly without making it uncomfortable. On the other hand, the genres are really different, and if it’s not handled carefully, the mix can make a lot of people uncomfortable—especially those who just want to enjoy a story without explicit adult content. So yeah, if they want to mix them, they really need to think it through so it doesn’t ruin the viewing experience for others, and there should definitely be clear boundaries so viewers know what to expect. Ideally, this kind of mix should be done with the intention of making something fresh and quality, not just throwing in adult stuff for the shock factor. |

| One big reason why TV shows usually have sex scenes and anime (that aren't porn) don't is because in TV shows you usually follow adults, and in anime you follow teens. The median anime protagonist is 15 or 16 years old. Even Japan doesn't want to see this in mainstream TV. Also, Merve wins again 😎 |

| Honestly I like to watch anime in general because it doesn't have things like hentai/ecchi (mostly, and to certain degrees). There is a whole lot more to story building then random sex. If I wanted to watch that, I would go look for it in erotica. Where it should be. |
