Nothing is wrong with Choco. She just seems less motivated compared to others.

But hey, this episode brings together her friends for suppport. Even though they're not pros yet, these girls have improved since the first episode. Choco is part of the group of so they need her.

Disappointed this episode didn’t open with Yua being maimed and tortured, but the Kyoka and Choco yuri ship teasing made up for it. Finally a Kyoka focused episode and yea she’s best girl here. Tomboy alt idol SAVE ME.

Oh Kyoka the non-binary coded queen you are.. given the fact her wish is to get out of the house so she can “be herself” and her idol is a vtuber who doesn’t put themself in a traditional gender box, it’s certainly not a leap to assume she’s Non-binary. Also the fact she clearly has a crush on Choco and was worried about her is so cute 🥰 Sunrise need to do more blatant stuff like this in their main idol series.

I hate seeing parents like Kyoka’s who want to plan out their kids’ whole lives and personalities. Vicariously living thru your kids is so cringe dude. You have kids to give them the tools to be successful and walk their own path, not be a clone of yourself. Commenting on the way she keeps her hair and telling her what to wear.. 🤢 mom is a loser.

On a brighter note, the planning for Choco’s birthday was sweet and you could tell getting that cake meant a lot to her. I wanna know more about her as a character. She’s got the happy go lucky personality, but you know she’s probably hiding some trauma under there.

Glad Mai took control of the Kumai account again. Was so annoyed she gave it to Yua last week. That’s a great opportunity for her to continue building her own brand and growing as a person.

Notice how Kyoka wanted to give Choco her own special gift separately from everyone else ahhh my ship has legs!! Can’t wait for Choco arc next episode.

I think Kyoka and Choco's arc will be combined. The ending scene foreshadow this by showing an art of Kyoka and Choco holding hands differently than the others, it represents their problems might be similar. Also-... I'm shocked to see that tone coming from Choco. I knew something was up with her but didn't expect her to be like that....

What the hell was with that attitude at the end? I guess her whole personality she has shown up until now has all been an act.

I feel like this is the result of combining of two different episodes.
I say that because they are setting up two stories at the same time, which I wouldn't call normal...
I'm starting to think that the project got more ambitious than they initially intended and they ended up needing to compress it.
That would explain why I always feel like something is missing.
(It would probably be better if they split it into two seasons to do the idea justice, but I imagine it's hard to convince a company to invest in an original.)
(If possible, I would try to cut the series in half with an ending to the first half that allowed it to be expanded, in case the first season was successful.)
(I don't know if something like that could get approved or whether it would even be theoretically possible for this specific story.)
Either way, it's sad seeing a promising idea go to waste...😔

I think this is the best build-up episode of the anime yet! Maybe it's because I can relate to some of Kyouka's problems. I also love characters like Choco who can switch between a happy persona and an ice-cold persona.

@gorkthe134th i think judging by the trailer and thinking based on your thoughts. season 1 would be finished, look at the trailer they all tease each episodes even stage scenes... (which is why PV 3 was temporarily removed from YouTube)

Is Choco secretly a psychopath? Is that old lady related to her? Is there something serious going on in her home life? I will admit, I am impressed by how much this series has improved since its weak first episode (And speaking of episode 1, the girl from that episode showed up again. I guess she's going to play a role in Kyoka's story?)

Worst song of all time followed by a pretty nice wholesome moment, thankfully. Didn't realize there was a post ED scene until I read some of the comments in this thread lol, interesting....

An episode more involving Kyouka and Choco which is good and needed. Kyouka's your case of someone having ideals and preferences forced onto them when they just wanna be themselves and I assume maybe Choco is somewhat similar and perhaps Kyouka can see that.

Not bad. I assume Kyouka wants to be a guy in some form. I guess we'll see. It'll be nice if any main character's problems are dealt with at some point.

It's kinda funny that this and Witch Death both just had an episode that skipped to the protagonists being better at collecting the story currency.

Got no complaints from this episode, unlike the others that were just straight-up irritating in their own respective ways.

The episode gave mixed signals that, to some extent, confused me about whose arc had started, and even by the end, it wasn't clear. What this episode does make clear is that Choco is a strange and mysterious girl with some kind of cocaine-level obsession with chocolates.

Aside from Choco's mystery, we learned about Kyouka's background. Her parents are suffocating, and dealing with that kind of upbringing can be hard for a child. So Kyouka's wish to leave the nest as quickly as possible is understandable and justifiable.

We got fat Azu after so long, and with colored frames—never thought we'd see her in her true size.

So I just saw the post-credit scene, and it looks like we'll be following Choco's arc. Can't believe her sharp tongue for an old lady—wonder what her story is. One thing's for sure, judging by the last two girls, this might be some silly personal issue unlike Kyouka's.
