Can watching only one show at a time works???

Continuing from my old thread, I have been thinking this for a while now.

How about watching a single show at a time which was already completed way before with plenty of episodes, can help recover my interest to anime?

Well, I considered it as a one way of solution, but what you guys have to say about it? Will this works for you people too?

I honestly dunno if I should do this or not. If I have to, then what anime you can recommend me?

I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

I always find this turns me away from watching stuff, because knowing I have to sit through between like 12 to 50 episodes of a show before I can turn my attention to something else is a real buzzkill. I alternate between 3 different shows, one episode at a time, and that's enough variety to keep me interested while also still being a small enough number of shows that I can fairly quickly get through a series.

@kamonmabase hmm that's truth too buddy.

But that thing is kinda making me wait for a long time to watch another episode.

Which results in losing the internet in it tbh for me.

@Pinoffin yeah makes sense. Alternating between three shows for me is just the right amount of time to be excited every time I get back around to each show. But I also only have time for maybe one round of each show (3 total eps) every day. But I grew up watching about 3 episodes of anime on TV every day, so I guess that's part of why it's easier for me to stay interested.

@tchitchouan Can you tell me one specific show which I can watch?

I know about your preferred genre which is different from mine.

But since I thought of doing this I want some recommendations so that I can pick one.

But I want a completed anime, once again I'm okay with any genre. (Maybe not ecchi sorry)

Thanks a lot buddy! I will definitely give it a try sooner.

I'm going to collect a lot recommendations and list them and watch it one by one so that I can finally comeback (in my theory)

One at a time is probably better for immersion, but don't hesitate to drop a show if it bores you.

Good luck friend, it'd b a lot more useful to give some hints on your tastes and preference so people can give you recommendations that you would like.
Anime is waaaaay too big for random guesses.

@tchitchouan I watch animes from every genre back in the days (like 3 years before)

Now I'm kinda became picky with sol but I will still watch other genres. Also ecchi is just not my thing so far , maybe one day it can be.

Most definitely! I've always been the type of anime fan that enjoys taking his time with a series. Maybe watching like one episode per day so I can really take in each scene. I feel like if you just binge everything in one day you often forget half of what you watched and it just doesn't have that same holding effect. In my opinion at least.

That could be a good idea, I find watching too many series at the same time can burn me out. It's why I'm trying to limit how many seasonals I watch.

@Retro8bit i definitely agree that the closer together your viewings of each episode are, the less memorable it is.

As someone who was once an avid seasonal watcher (like 20+ shows a season), I must say, yes, it does.
The reason why stopped watching weekly tho, was because of burnout, not just because of the wait between episodes. Because I was watching so much just to stay caught up with everything, watching anime wasn't fun anymore. It became a chore. Add that to the fact that I had to wait a week for the next episode, and it was making me lose interest big time.
Now I'm always a season or two behind, but I can always watch at my own pace. Some days I can watch 10 eps, other days none. It's honestly more fun this way too.

Careful tho, this is coming from someone who has no friends that watch anime, so not staying caught up with the latest stuff isn't really a problem. I do stay caught up with the community reactions to new shows tho.

Yeah I've had a lot of people who have tried to watch some of the longer running series such as One Piece tell me that. They binge it within a couple of months, and say that they wish they could have grown up watching it episode by episode every week because everything just goes by so fast that you can't really let some of the storyline seep in.

I don't see how that could possibly help you feel less burnt out... Unless the loss of interest is due to everything feeling stagnate and directionless (a thing that a complete, finite show with a specific end point might not struggle from)

Personally That's how I work on my To-Watch-List, since I can see the progress more than if I spread my attention across multiple series.

That is the way I watch anime XD. Seasonals don't count for this (at least for me). So, for example, I'm watching Jojo right now, that means that I'll not watch at the same time any other non-seasonal show before I finish all the 6 Jojo parts (and probably part 7, 8 and what has been released of 9 in the manga). I just don't like diverting my attention from one story to the other, I always kind of "needed" to put my complete attention to one single show, and then move it to the next one only after I completed the first one. Like for One Piece I took several "breaks" in between, as it is too long, but I made sure to completely finish the anime I started before continuing One Piece. I feel like I'm disrespecting shows if I'm changing between stories all the time (but that is justs me lol), so maybe it could help you appreciate more the anime you watch or don't feel so burned out, like "taking things more slowly" type of deal.
Now for actual recommendations, you have watched a LOT more things than me, but from seeing your listmaybe you could give a chance to smth like Wonder Egg Priority (pretty unique show and I personally love it a lot), a romance like Horimiya as it seems you like the genre, maybe smth like The Quintessential Quintuplets for similar reasons, the Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn special is amazing (only one 50 minute ep tho), The Devil is a Part Timer is an amazing comedy (only watch the 1st season lol) and Re:Zero is a very famous and good show you haven't watched (for me it gets good only after the 1st season but most people seem to like it a lot more than me). You could probably read Kingdom or Grand Blue, 2 masterpieces.
Well, I maybe overstated my welcome with all these recommendations but well, that is my opinion XD.

I understand everyone's different, but if I'm facing burnout/lack of motivation, binge-watching one show at a time would be a surefire way of killing my motivation completely.

I would probably watch 2 shows at a time, ideally very different from each other. Maaaybe 3.

I'll definitely take it slowly, whatever number I end up watching. Like 1-2 episodes of each anime, every other day.

If I still have some spare time left, I'll watch something that's not anime.

You should probably slowly watch a series(one at a time) if you wanna reignite your investment in anime. getting yourself completely invested into a series, getting sucked in to the world that its built, and savoring and cherishing that experience overtime is one way to truly appreciate an animes beauty.
