RIP the King. Adonis once again shows that he's willing to take any risk to get what he wants - the world he desires.

Looks like Belle and her allies needed help to hold off the Hunger Alliance. I wish they did make the antagonists this series more appealing in that faction though.

Adonis has stepped onto the path of destruction, with Shelly tagging along, believing that a new world will be born from the ruins.

Belle has emerged from prison alongside Guinness and Benedictine to put an end to Adonis.

So how can Adonis fall so hard and he was on such a good term with belle and others? Tho his curse was probably eating hin away i guess and questioning gods all time. I loved his chemistry with Belle but now im not sure if i want him alive at all.

Decent episode. I mean, I never really expected Adonis to have any kind of loyalty to anyone, seeing as he’s basically gone full ultra-Sasuke mode. So when he easily betrayed Gaff while cooperating with Shelly, I saw it coming from a mile away. But Shelly—she was honestly a bit of a surprise, seriously.

Speaking of Shelly, she really got me in the first half—not gonna lie. I thought she’d suddenly strayed and fallen into darkness when she seemed to approve of Adonis’s actions after Gaff questioned her. But then she literally hit Adonis with the most respectful verbal takedown ever. Her indirect way of saying, 'Trust me, bro—Belle is coming back to wreck you in a way you've never been wrecked before, so you'd better watch yourself,' was kind of hilarious, honestly. I loved how Adonis realized he’d been verbally wrecked too, especially upon realizing Shelly was way more than he bargained for.

Shelly aside, I loved the fight near the end between Belle and the corpse-sword wielder. Of course, Belle’s our heroine, so she was definitely going to win—but still, it was a great fight. That aside, I’m really excited for the next episode when Belle catches up to Adonis and wrecks him hard. Can't w8 to see that.

Turn about is fair play. Shelly seems to be following this here. Adonis sure was surprised!

Adonis even managed to get Shelly on his side completely, she won't even listen to Gaff anymore.
Belle and her friend have a lot of ally's to help them whenever they need it.
That was a great fight Belle had there, that was a really tough opponent she put down.

The power of Belle's awakening is something to behold!

"I swing my sword to discover why I'm here!"
"Don't you?"

Shelly really is a pleasant surprise as a character and for a minute I started hoping the heroine would grow hair like on the cover of the novel and like her bird.

Belle seems to have newfound determination, which is somewhat a shame because I really wanted to see her just go off the deep end

For once, I get the plot of the episode! But... I hate the adaptation...
There was very little movement in this episode and the technique of not looking at the screen to enjoy the voice acting is more useful than ever.
Also the pacing was too fast in many cases and some (what I believe to be) important moments were not executed as they should (if they are).
I hope this is the result of the episode being low priority and that they can restore the visual in this good now just audio experience.
(This may have been the most confusing way to phrase that, but it fits with the show...)

@Skuvan i was grateful Adonis did not harm Shelly. it felt a bit of a high risk situation for her, bold as brass.

@CyStarkman I mean, no matter how edgy and evil he sounds like or tries hard to be, i don't think he's so scummy that he would harm an innocent defenseless woman. Like, he does indeed have his own twisted goals, but he still isn't really that far gone yet, haha.

With King Rawhide's body crestoned into the Lake of Calm, the actions of Adonis and Sherry challenging Gaff to become the Army of Insatiable Emptiness, an enemy force so strong that even by the latter's power as Prince Fortune to not withhold against them, his call for Belle and her companions to rise up against the challenge, alongside a new Schwert Musik to aid in the effort to stop Adonis.

But deep into the troughs of the lair, Sherry's prophecy that Belle would end up stopping him, that's the call for Gwen and the rest to lead the charge against the Army. And the first Fang leader of the Army to reveal himself as Red Rum, Belle may had earlier troubles getting her sword to react, but it all becomes clear when she manages to defeat the Topdog that's turned into a ghoul.

It's non-stop action from here on out, the race to stop Adonis begins now.
