 The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kazune Kawahara's Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi (A Star Brighter Than the Sun) manga revealed the main cast, staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2025 on TBS.Voice actors Minori Fujidera (Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku) and Yuuki Ono (Beastars) are starring as Sae Iwata and Kouki Kamishiro, respectively. Staff Director: Sayaka Kobayashi (Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru episode director) Series Composition: Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen) Character Design: Jinfeng Zeng Music: Natsumi Tabuchi (Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan), Miki Sakurai (Megami no Café Terrace) Studio: Studio Kai Kawahara (Ore Monogatari!!) began serializing the school romance manga in June 2021 in the Bessatsu Margaret magazine. Shueisha shipped the tenth volume on November 25, with the 11th volume scheduled to be released on April 24. | Literally just commented on the original news post yesterday, so it's great to get more information and a teaser PV! This series has me at childhood friends to lovers. EDIT: It also occurred to me that this will be the first Kazune Kawahara adaptation based on a series that is both drawn and written by her. And I realized Yuuki Ono is voicing the male character (noting that he had a role in "Beastars" as opposed to "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" had me overlooking this at first). It's always nice to see him in more stuff. |
