I finally got around to watching and finished it the other day, I’m desperate for a continuation and full adaptation. I’ll read the manga at some point, but the music in this is so good, I’d want to see the rest of it brought to life as well. Probably a pipe dream, but we can hope.

a sequel show would be better than a remake, but also so much of the appeal is in those delicious early-2000s visuals. Modern anime lacks the depth visually to pull off BECK's grungy aesthetic.

i agree with this, i heavily doubt they would be able to recreate the early 2000s-vibes nowadays
some anime are just a sign of the times
same with for example Nana

nah not a remake because then they'd change the op song, so just a sequel.

a agree, but if a studio went about it the same way they did megalobox I feel like it could still be done. it would just take a crap ton of care for the aesthetic.

@Killjoy_Kora Even if it continues to S2, they will still use new visuals, so it would be better if it was a remake from the beginning to attract new viewers.

yeah but modern anime visuals would absolutely be worse in every way so it ain't even worth it. a modern anime studio would just make it candy-colored and flat.
