@deg Star Wars: Visions Vol 2 features shorts from animation studios based in India, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Chile, France, South Africa, South Korea, and the United States. Do you really think MAL will add Vol 2 ? None of those shorts can be classified as anime.

@deg Use Japanese website then. All over the world by the term "Anime" it is strictly referred to as Japanese animated TV series and movies.

Good studio picks, intriguing titles. I'm positive. I enjoyed the previous parts (volumes) of Star Wars: Visions, so I'm excited for the third one as well.

I love how MAL has a weird ethno-purist fringe that starts scolding people the minute they suggest a title for the database..

Yea, so its fine the way it is...I mean... NO ONE is on this site for "western" animation, so I don't think it matters how the term is used in Japan lol

And come on man, China and Korea have cultures "close enough" to Japan that i don't think many people have a problem calling their work that looks the style, "anime"

Well, as long as 3 is closer in quality to 1 than 2, it should be fine. And The Ninth Jedi was the best episode for me so I'm actually interested in seeing what thay make out of it.

@deg I don’t think that’s gonna happen. MAL is too inconsistent when it comes to categorizing stuff like this.

omg just pull the plug on starwars no one cares about this shit
also there are people in this thread that seriously with a straight face say Japanese the most culturally conservative people ever don't seperate western animation.
This just reads like retards who are sad that western animation got killed in the past decade and are now begrudgingly watching anime and hoping anime becomes more like western animation to appeal to their sensibilities.

Disney be coping hard that their projects keep losing money.
Season 2 was a bust. Nobody cares about worldwide studios. Season 1 had some success because it was anime. Actual anime. Season 2? Pfft, maybe the Chinese and Korean shorts had some attention but even that's minuscule compared to Japan.
Goodbye Disney, and good riddance.

@malvarez1 We have YouTube to thank for that. So many youtube grifters pumped so much propaganda about 'woke disney' into everyone's heads that a lot of people hate Star Wars now who haven't even seen any of it (it must be bad cuz this cool sounding bro on YT says so).
But of course the same grifters also hate the prequels... it's all a bunch of BS.
